Oh joy of all joys, I finally get to play my Guild Wars on my own account. Lalalalala. After all that stupid hassle of trying to get the darn trial key from here and there. In the end all you needed to do was just install the client from here – Guild Wars.com/support. And then go on to click on “Create New Account”, just key in your email and a password of your liking. Finito. Then go online to the store and just purchase the game for RM105. Not bad for getting a game with super high end graphics and you get to play for free till the next story is in, which still doesn’t cost much (not really anyway). Plus since it’s an online game, it doesn’t take up much space in your computer, just shy of 64mb or so. However it will take a good load of RAM =S. I mean do the math, I would have gone on to paly WoW, which has equally if not better graphics, but I would have to pay in a year (RM50 x 12 months) a good RM600. Come on!!! I can do a lot, well not a lot but something with 600 bucks. In the words of Russell Peters. *China man slang* You buy stuff at my store you save 0.50 cent. Then you go somewhere else and save another 0.50, you get a whole dollar. Then you go to dollar store and buy something!” LOL. But it is good to play. I’ve removed Lenwe Valinor for now. So for those playing, you shall see me around as Lorien Valinor.  Anyway check my character out.

The part that sucks the MOST - is using streamyx…sigh you can never get a proper game with this broadband. May we please be granted mercy from such bad broadband.

I’m not always a fan of Mozilla Firefox, as much as people love to praise it for being stable. But I have to say that they have very handy add on tools. Two which I’m impressed with is their recommend Clipmarks tool and the Webdeveloper tool. Clipmarks allows you to clip sections of any webpage you happen to browse to. A handy tool if you don’t always remember the sites you go and if you found something interesting/useful. I know I tend to have that problem of late. And all I have been doing is mostly bookmarking all the pages I go to. Which is a hassle. So check clipmarks out. However it is only paired with firefox i think. If anyone knows of how it can be paired with Opera browser. Do let me know ^_^.

I have been missing in blogging action lately. And this is why…

I have found the wonderful world of Guild Wars!!!! “The place where Men are MEN and the Ladies are all runway MODELS!” Hahaha when I read this off gamespot.com, I had a good laugh. I originally came across the beautiful graphics of this RPG game when I was researching for something at work. At first I thought it was World of Warcraft, the dominating online game of the century. But then I found Guild Wars. Just like another fantasy world like Lord of The Rings, we have the game in a world of its own. But the nice part about the game is that you don’t have to pay for it to play, unlike WoW which is easily RM50 a month. Coming from the mouths of the creators, GW is meant to be free (but you just pay for the game of course). It doesn’t have very complicated game skills and neither does it want to become another multi player online game business. There are of course companies that wish to compete with WoW, but how they did it, is quite amazing. If you ever do take up the game do look for me. Currently I am sharing an account with Giden, who is also playing. Originally we got the trial at the recent PC Fair in KL. Buying the game online is also a much better option compared to buying it at Low Yat or any other computer place. But then again I don’t think you would get the CD if you buy it online. For RM100+, you get a game packed with wonderful graphics, an interesting storyline and you get to meet lots of people all over. By the way, did I mention that the characters are HOT! My character is a Ranger/Mesmer = Lenwe Valinor Giden’s is a Elementalist/Warrior = Luthien Ainur No pics yet but will get that later. ^_^ In the meantime enjoy these wallpapers and a short video of the Guild Wars journey.
