I happen to across this when my ding dong nutty tiger friend told me to go check out Traks. I was suppose to be watching some mountain trail video, which I’m not exactly interested in. But anyway, the post that caught my attention was the one on “Clean up Kiara Day”, arranged by TRAKS and DBKL, which is in conjunction with Clean Up The World Day in September 2007. So yeah!!!Come people lets go do this.. Exercise and saving the world.. Why not? For those who’d like to join me. The social event details are like so: Date:16th of September 2007 Time: 8.30am (2 hours) Place: Mount Kiara
I saw this the other day while I was at Low Yat. I think it’s great that they are really trying to up the market and provide different services for us broadband users. Here we have IZZI which is suppose to be the first 4G broadband service in KL. Sounds pretty cool and even cooler is their service plan. If you don’t like it in 6 months to even after a year, they will take back the service with REFUND. Sorry I don’t have the stats for this.. but go to their site , Izzi. 21082007460_resize.jpg And here’s where they cover… so sigh… It doesn’t cover my area. Click to view bigger picture What I can’s stand though, is that when they offer the service. They had better keep updating it, if not upgrading it. Like now I’m currently on Maxis, but sad to say after the first period, which was a trial. The connection was great no lag whatso ever. Then when i went on into their full package, meaning i pay RM88 which is actually RM115 or so a month because of modem rental and service charge. The stupid connection DROPPED! Sigh, Malaysia, Malaysia. Or more so you companies…. when are you going to learn that you can’t just offer a service and have no upkeep. But I’ll give them, that at least their service centre at Menara Maxis, KLCC was rather impressive or more so informative and helpful. So yeah servic centres, you get my kudos. Your broadband…. I have yet to say, till I get the new modem which is what was recommended.
I’m trying relay hard to practice being eco-friendly… and it’s not always easy, as the things i need to do requires me to use some electrical energy, driving or something. But I’m starting off bit by bit. So here it is folks, what I’m currently using as my laundry bag, other than that of the Fitness First plastic bag that they provide in the gym. 28082007540_resize.jpg Lol, its from the House of Leather. It’s not a plastic bag. I don’t have my own Anya Hindmach “I’m Not a Plastic Bag”, which i heard is going for round RM50 (or could be $50). Either way it’s too expensive for a ridiculous none plastic bag. Hence I made my own. I’ll show that later. So heh, yeah thats my alternative. Step 1 people, you have to start somewhere.
I have been contemplating this for quite a while, and finally i decided to get the Sony NW806 as my new video and mp3 player. As much as the price is going t kill me for the next 12 months (installment plan), I’m glad to say that I’m rather happy with it. Or extremely happy with it! Let me give the break down. I got this with 4gb of space, which is the average for a portable storage. I’m not going to listen to all of the songs in one shot but it’s nice to know that I have them with me. Also I get to watch video on this little black baby of mine. The two most important and coolest things about the walkman: Light (very good thumbs up) and EXCELLENT sound quality (all the thumbs that i can manage to put up) The sound quality of the walkman is absolutely fantastic. Great forblocking out everything and just zoning out to music land. The other bonus with the walkman are the ear plugs. Light, black and most of all COMFORTABLE. While I’m enjoying the music and player capabilities of my sony. Giden loves the earplugs that fit snugly in ones ears.
My boss just came back today to the office, and look what he got me! I’ve got a Greenpeace shirt! Thanks Pratik!! He got it from this store called Goods of Desire, which sells stuff like clothing books and what not base on different social causes. Pretty Cool! And yeah while they all can think of mas some naive extremist that wants to help make the world a better place… I happen to DO support Greenpeace. Let’s put it this way. Businesses will not care about the earth, unless it starts making money for them. So I’m glad that there are bodies like them out there who are trying to make a stand in this smog infested land. Power ON GREENPEACE!
