Wow, the title sounded like such a bad ad for free stuff..haha.

For those who wish to look at revamping their site and want to do it via the geeky way, that is by using Wordpress as your CMS, uploading content via FTP, and doing your own design and also getting your own free domain. You can do so by going to these sites.

1. Go to Ifastnet or 110mb.com to get your free web hosting service its about 300mb from what I last heard while 110mb was giving away 2gb. The good thing about 110mb is that you can upload REALLY big files by zipping them into the directory and then extract them in your server. And they also have Fantastico which can help you install Wordpress for you, the most you would need to do is go an upgrade the Wordpress but fairly easy I assure you.

   

2. Get yourself an FTP client like WSFTP, FileZilla or SmartFTP. (If you want to use WSFTP,either bittorent it or ask me,cause anything from the main site is trial)

   

3. Then once you have your Ifastnet site up (which is immediate btw) you can head on to either UNI.CC or CO.NR which offers a better free domain service compared to TK that has those lousy useless and completely irritating ads. Or you can go here for more free domains.

   

4. Because of Fantastico, I think you should be able to get a free stat counter, if not you can always get a free one at Gostats. Really cool you get to see who viewed you from all over the world.

   

5. As for Wordpress themes I recommend a few of the sites below

Yeap you are now pretty much set as to how you wanna go about with your new FREE wordpres blog. Oh don’t forget to get your free Wordpress account, you will need some API number if you want to moderate comments and prevent spam ^_^
