I’ve been doing a marathon of Two and A Half Men lately. While the show is filled with extreme dating and what not. All which i question every now and then (also how is it even remotely possible that one guy can have that many flings in a week). There was one particular girl who stayed on for significant number of episodes by in the 3rd to 4th season, by the name of Candy. She was one the dimwitted girls the Harper Brother – Charlie and Alan had dated – whom Alan then stupidly married.  But what I could not get was.. how incredibly incredibly stupid the chracter is. And for that, I commend the actress April Bowlby whom Thank God is nowhere close to as stupid and bimbotic as the character she plays.  I mean really look how dumb she is.  The actress however is not as dumb. For she studied ballet, French and Marine Biology before going on to becoming a stupid bimbo. Hahha.
Last week, my friend had bugged me to go and watch Beyonce’s latest music video “If I Were A Boy” because of its brilliance. And ya know what.. I think it is brilliant. The video had a very interesting film noir aspect to it. The beginning of the song you see her singing almost contradicting lyrics – with her having a jobs as a cop while the bf is the one preparing everything for her.. waiting for her and what not. Stereotypical male and female roles. But you gotta love the end. It’s a short film in itself.

[Verse]  If I were a boy  Even just for a day  I’d roll outta bed in the morning  And throw on what I wanted then go  Drink beer with the guys  And chase after girls  I’d kick it with who I wanted  And I’d never get confronted for it.  Cause they’d stick up for me.

[Chorus]  If I were a boy  I think I could understand  How it feels to love a girl  I swear I’d be a better man.  I’d listen to her  Cause I know how it hurts  When you lose the one you wanted  Cause he’s taken you for granted  And everything you had got destroyed

[Verse]  If I were a boy  I would turn off my phone  Tell everyone it’s broken  So they’d think that I was sleepin’ alone  I’d put myself first  And make the rules as I go  Cause I know that she’d be faithful  Waitin’ for me to come home (to come home)

[Chorus]  If I were a boy  I think I could understand  How it feels to love a girl  I swear I’d be a better man.  I’d listen to her  Cause I know how it hurts  When you lose the one you wanted (wanted)  Cause he’s taken you for granted (granted)  And everything you had got destroyed

[Vamp1]  It’s a little too late for you to come back  Say its just a mistake  Think I’d forgive you like that  If you thought I would wait for you  You thought wrong

[Male]  You know when you act like that  I don’t think you realize how it makes me look  or feel

[Beyonce]  Act like what  Why are you so jealous  It’s not like i’m sleeping with the guy

[Male]  What

[Beyonce]  What

[Male]  I said yo  Why are you so jealous  It aint like I’m sleepin with the girl  [Vamp2]  But you’re just a boy  You don’t understand  Yeah you don’t understand  How it feels to love a girl someday  You wish you were a better man  You don’t listen to her  You don’t care how it hurts  Until you lose the one you wanted  Cause you’ve taken her for granted  And everything you have got destroyed  But you’re just a boy

You learn something new everyday. Surfing on Hong Kiat is always an eye opener, cause with the amount of crazy posts that he has you are bound to learn something new. Today I learnt about dual monitor wallpapers. Nothing new on the dual monitor part, but never really occurred to me that I could have a huge long desktop wallpaper that could stretch for both the two screens. See I’ve linked my laptop to a monitor, which helps a lot when i do work.. or say if I wanna do work and have video entertainment at the same time :P . Anyway first things first. Go ahead and get yourself this freebie software called Display Fusion. It’s very light and very easy to install and use. It took me less than 2 minutes to get it installed and working so that I can see this gorgeous wallpaper on my screen.

Yeah so what it’s not perfect, because obviously my monitors are not the same size… It still looks really cool though, do i don’t care! :P The Display Fusion Program allows you to put like two wallpapers on to entirely different monitors. Cool! Like so.

Now next step if you want your own dual desktop monitor wallpaper. Get a dual monitor wallpaper. Below are some the ones that I find really really gorgeous.

This was just in the news today and I didn’t even know about it till i was informed by Mister G. As some of you may know, The Actor’s Studio at Bangsar Shopping Complex is closing down this coming February 2009. Meaning that a number of performances will  be left without a home. This is quite sad, even though sure KLPAC can be the place to host all the performances but there would be just too many.  Giving a bit of good news. Selangor’s very own state-of-the-art theatre is finally completed and all set to play a big role in promoting the performing arts in the state capital of Shah Alam. That is just so darn far away.. I can just imagine the drives to and fro just to get to that place. Especially for actors, singers and dancers who are performing there.  The new art theatre complex, aka The Shah Alam Royale Theatre cost about RM43 million to build. The complex took about 4 years to buld, starting from December 2004 and finally completed this year in July – with about a years delay (why am i not surprise).

It is now the latest landmark in the capital city, located at Jalan Persidangan in Section 14, just behind the Grand Bluewave Hotel.

The complex features latest technology in sound and lighting. Well let’s see how it goes from here. I do hope that it doesn’t become just another monument and there will be shows there. My only concern, that it is really far from the KL city centre and honestly that is where all the action is. Hopefully it will grow anyhow.
It’s been a while since I surfed on youtube, just to check out what new stuff has been going on in the video realm. But since I uploaded my Wade Robson videos i’ve been constantly checking out youtube. See my youtube account has been banned a couple of times, now.. for  reasons I shall not mention. Hence all the people I had subscribed to have been erased. Meaning I’ve got to go around searching for these ‘directors’, comedians and whoever and subscribe all over again.  If you don’t want to read my babble.. just go straight to video below. :) One of the people I enjoyed watching a lot then in my spare time last year was HappySlip. I did write about her once too in this blog post -… ok neverming.. seems that blog post is gone.. must’ve disappeared when I had some trouble bringing over my blog to the new webhost.  Anyway I did mention her before. She is a wonderfully talented, lovely comedian, who is seriously making herself known all over the workd now. Simply because she loves to make people smile. Well she made me smile again this afternoon.  You know that song by Rihanna “Take a Bow”? Ok no disrespect to Rihanna, but I have always found that while I like her tunes, I don’t exactly like her lyrics. She’s got talent yes, unique voice check but I just can’t stand the messages that comes out of her songs. Her tunes are lovely but then when you get to the words (which is like a major part of a song other than the melody) it’s like….. nggyyyeeekk?  Just like her other song “Unfaithful”. Yeah ok maybe some people do go through what she sings. But… just not my cup of tea, even if the music is nice. Here she sings about why she doesn’t want to be unfaithful anymore because it’s killing her man. Like a duh!!! Of course it’ll hurt the other and of course one should feel guilty.  Sidetracking a bit. Just listening to the original song and Happyslip’s verison.  And for enthusiasts… these are the lyrics. Since I couldn’t find a title to it. I’ll just call it this

I Stand Before You Now

You stand before me right now Telling me all your vows In front of God and our friends I’ll stay with you til the end I pledge my life

After all that I put you through You have shown your love that is true

And this is what I know You are not self seeking It’s your humble heart That always thinks of others You are worth the wait Noble man of honor I stand before you now and I accept your vows

For better, for worse For richer, for poorer In sickness, and in health  oh I am yours

I stand before you now and I accept your vows Lovely lovely words and it does give a new hope for relationships and love. :) When my wedding day comes.. not to be so cheesy.. I’d wanna play this for Mister G :P .  I think I’ve heard enough of the moody thoughts on how relationships have no hope and how it’s all about the break up. Aren’t there enough breka ups as it is in the world. Listening to this, was something fresh and hopefully it’ll be fresh for you guys too.  Speaking of relationships and fresh things. Don’t forget to check out “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” at KLPAC this coming 6th November :)
