Or rather how to go about winning the Mister Potato Contest.

Come now, I’m sure some of you have already figured that this is a Mister Potato ‘awareness’ campaign for their latest competition which involves winning tickets to Old Trafford via buying lots and lots of chips. Hah! Crazy thought right.. Put it this way, the tickets to Man United to fly and to watch a match is about RM5000. But obviously we don’t have the finance to go ahead and buy tickets like those. So the next best thing is to win it, via begging…

OK not down right begging, but bargaining, rather hehe.

See the contest requires you to collect as many seals as possible from either Mister Potato canisters or Mister Potato chip pouches. They come in different colour packaging as shown below. Each seal/pack from these packagings is worth a point or more. The canister is worth 3 points, the 85g pouch is 2 points and the 55g pouch is 1 point.

You are suppose to separate them – the seals and packs – into multiples of ten per bundle. Then place them all in an envelope with a clear photocopy of your IC and contact details. You can send it as many envelopes as you want as long as the photocopy of your IC and your details are clear. Finally send the envelopes BEFORE every 30th to this address:

and repeat the buying, eating, saving the seals, stapling, enveloping and sending the envelopes every month till the end of the contest, which is the 30TH of October!

In short the process is like so. ^_^

Now how to get that many seals and packs? We thought of doing it this way, to get them.

This is how we went about it. It was only Nicolekiss, Simon Seow and I from the group that could meet up, since Kif, Chic and Andy are not in KL. But that doesn’t mean we couldn’t execute our plan in other places all over the world.. or rather just KL and Australia… hehe…Ooooo we did have an extra help from lil’ Kel Li.

So executing Free Hugs and Kiss for Mister Potato Chips.

Andy from Delta’s Den was working hard in Penang to get the seals hehe for free.. We just want the seals man. We’ll give you your hug and kiss.. just give us the seal.. you can even have the potatoes.

We even had a body down in Australia.. Sydney to be precise. So Coool!! Kif from 3POINT8 doing his part to get hugs from down under. But shucks la.. wish we were there to accompany the fella.

Though, i couldn’t join ‘the after party’, I wasn’t too down. Cause I got to enjoy something else later on when I got home…My own can of Mister Potato.

Btw this is just one of the SEALS you need in order to win the grand prize of going to Old Trafford. So collect like tons and tons of these. doesn’t matter if they are from the cannister, the packet, or the smaller packet. Every single seal has a point. SO get them and save them!
