The Beijing Olympics Opening Night happened to be on the same night of my second night of Ismail:The Last Days. Which meant I couldn’t watch it live but had to be on stage performing. On one hand I hate and blame the Olympics for being on on the same night hence causing ticket sales to be poor that night. But at the same time I can’t be because I’m just in total awe for the entire performance.

Well if I can’t view it on Astro Max then the next best thing… Youtube! Hehe and it was amazing.. The entire opening felt like something shot right out of a movie, even more so because I have been watching tons of Hollywood productions this year with the eastern elements like Kung Fu Panda, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Mummy 3… yeah shows like that , that have these great big aura like songs. That was what the ambiance of the Olympic Beijing Opening felt like.

This is just the tip, I can’t imagine what the rehearsals must have been like. To practice and coordinate 2008 drummers, and thousands of dancers and how can I forget the wow.. wow.. WOW ending of the torch being lit by a runner up in the sky… to one huge huge huge torch…..

Oh just watch… it was amazing!
