DGMB Anniversary 2009

This just goes to show how much I’ve been out of thing for a long time. Last year, was the first time the group met up and it was to watch the film “Definitely, Maybe”. The cute little romantic comedy starring Ryan Reynolds and pretty as a button Isla Fisher. You can see the yester years here. That was I think my first Blogger Date with other bloggers :P . heheh.

Phew that was long..

I haven’t really had some time with them accept for a few occasions.

2.20pm was the time of the movie, and so everyone was to meet at 12ish at McD. Plan was to meet first for lunch and then catch the movie “He’s Just Not That Into You”. Honestly I don’t know why all the blogger movie gatherings i end up going for has to do with a romantic comedy. lol.

I couldn’t make it in time, as I already had other plans for lunch. Yeah I know boo… Made it all the same :) Getting there was a real rush from Jaya One.

What made the blogger movie gathering all the more special, had to be at the end of the movie. As the movie was running it’s end credits, suddenly the screen started to show a slideshow of two people. One guy and one girl. Something like that, one can only assume the ‘best’ – the guy was trying to do something entirely sweet for his girlfriend. 

It was more than just sweet actually. While the lights were still out, suddenly you hear a guitar and some guy singing some lovey dovey song. Candles started to appear at the four corners of the cinema. All this is still happening with slideshow showing us images of the couple.

The guy came up to the girl handed her a bouquet of roses and then asked her marry him. Yeah man a proposal in the cinema!

That had to be a pleasant surprise. I don’t think the guy proposing would’ve thought that there would be about 36 bloggers in the same cinema with him. And I think if not for that marriage proposal, we wouldn’t have been able to take shots in the cinema. You should’ve seen it. The minute the whole audience knew it was a proposal, the bloggers all whipped out their cameras – handheld, handphones and DSLRs alike. We all just started snapping.

Can you see the big and small cameras? Spot how many there are here hehe. The best part had to come from Yap Thomas which seriously just cracked me up. He just said “I didn’t plan this!!”

Brief note, he was one of the bloggers who was mainly in charge of the DGMB anniversary outing.. lol you have to be there to get the laugh out of that statement hehe. I didn’t really manage to take snaps but whatever i could it’s here. I only managed to take one shot of me and Pamsong.

Google Made Me Do Maths

All i wanted to do was just to send an email. That’s all. Not really asking much. Then all of a sudden I get this lil pop up. asking me to do maths.. Maths! captured_Image.png And they only gave me 60 seconds to do all those math questions. Yeah yeah, 60 seconds is a lot. I’m just a lazy. lol. So in order to ensure that I’m not going to fall asleep while sending an email, they decide to create a little thinking game. Come on!! I just wanna send my mail lol. Actually this was my fault, I think I must’ve enabled the function in the settings. Haha Google has tons of things happening it’s lab. This is an old one but take a look at Mail Goggles.

Mr Baoz Says Hello

Hmm yet another food post.. this doesn’t sound too good for me. :S I’m a huge sucker when it comes to trying new things and seeing something that sounds or looks interesting.I’ve been spending a bit more time recently at One Utama because of a huge malfunction which i will blog about on another post. While settling my malfunction (and no it was not a wardrobe one!!) – I stumbled onto the new little tea-time snack place called Mr Baoz. Apparently the place just opened up a few days ago. On the 9th of April to be exact. baoz_2 I don’t know when this picture was taken, but it definitely wasn’t on the day I went there. Barely anyone had heard of the place. img_3304 So i happily decided to go and try it. It’s not everyday that you see a shop selling all sorts of weird but could be tasteful looking paos. They look a lot nicer on the flyer… I have to learn that that is all graphically edited and cooked to the point it’s too beautiful to eat! Just look at how beautifully faked the images are.. no way are they that pretty. lol valuemeals They come in 4 types of boxes i think. Singular, Three of a kind – lol – and 6 in a box. baoz_1  So i gave Mr Baoz a try. And being greedy i decided to try the 6 in a box promotion. baoz_4 (L-R: Viennese Cheese, Tri-Star Squid Roll,  Crispy Red Bean Baoz, Winter Romance, Chocolate Custard and Roast Beef Baoz) ….. and expected la, it’s all pretty and not all that great. You pay aroun RM3.50 for one pao or baoz.. when you can get a nice char siew pao for less than 2. It’s an interesting concept, however i would not buy it in bulk next time. Probably if i’m really hungry and wanted a snack i’ll get it. Or i’ll just go back to my usual which is 1901 hotdog – if i really can’t tahan. Other than that I wouldn’t say hello to Mr Baoz anymore. But if you still wanna give it a try just head on to the lowest ground floor at One Utama, go to where Cold Storage is located, walk around a bit and you’ll find Mr Baoz. I’m saying Bye to Mr Baoz now.  :S

Analysing A Name

I admit to being a curious cat. I saw an interesting thing while browsing my Facebook home page. My friend had taken one of those annoying quizzes which some people feel should just not be published on to your main homepage for the entire social network to see.

Well I found this one fun. And I will admit to being a sucker for this… I found it interesting!

So am i really all that is stated above. Let’s check. Btw it Aronil is my name flipped, so it doesn’t matter whether i put it as the original name or not. The answer for each letter is still the same.

A – Aggressive

Yes I can be at times. I’m not saying it’s a great quality but I’m not ashamed of it. I can be aggressive when i want to be. Not all the time. Although it does come in handy on certain occasions. :P

R – Remarkable

Hmmmm I don’t know about that.. Oh wait wait, base on my perasan (egotistic) post, I have to like giving me self praises. So be confident, suck it and say you are “remarkable!”… but yes I would like to think I am :)

O – Overpowering

I think i would look overpowering because of my built. Then again, some of the people whom i met on a first time basis do tell me that i can be a bit scary at first. It’s only when they know me that I’m a harmless pup.

N – Natural

I enjoy being natural and i do try to keep things as real as possible on my end. Or are they referring to liking Mother Nature kind of natural.. Or is natural as in natural beauty? Or is it…being a natural at things like writing, sports, or something… Can’t they be specific!

I – Imaginative

Oh i thoroughly agree on this word. Sometimes I can get too imaginative though because my head can cause all sorts of drama for myself which my not even be real to my eyes. – wait that’s called hallucinations :S. But yes I love to dream and imagine things.

L – Likeable

I would like to believe that i am :) .

 

In the end this whole analysis is rubbish. Because you can’t judge or find out someone’s personality through a little quiz that can point out the adjectives in your name. Hello, if say someone had the same alphabets in their name, they will end up getting the same name analysis as you.

Everyone who’s a file sharing hogger or lover or user would know who’s The Pirate Bay. It the popular Swedish website that stores and shares torrent files. I’m sure many.. many many many many many many many hundreds and thousands of you would have seen or visited this site at least once in your online life. Ranked as the 105th most popular website by Alexa, The Pirate Bay is mostly funded by adverts shown next to the torrent listings. Anyway due to copyright laws for ‘sharing’ and playing the online Robin Hood, Pirate Bay has been involved with a number of lawsuits and been sued. and finally (L-R: Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm and Peter Sunde)
