I had to reformat my comp early this year. Because there was a small software malfunction that didn’t allow me to install certain programs. Especially my editing programs which i need terribly. After reformatting obviously all the Itunes applications and my song playlist were gone. At first I wasn’t too sure how to get the playlists or the applications back. I was more concerned with getting the applications because I had bought a couple of them. So while the applications I bought where in my Itouch, they weren’t in my Itunes. Problem!

Then i found out how to transfer all the applications back. Woot. If you have the same problem as me. Just right click on your Ipod under devices on your Itunes. Then click on transfer to purchases.

This will automatically update your appplications on your desktop Itunes. You should see at the top of the Itunes panel stating ‘Transferring Purchases from your Ipod”. 

Once it’s all done. You’ll see all your applications from your Itouch in your Itunes. Big phew!!
