Remember i wrote bout New Year = New Clothes at Uniqlo? I mentioned about one particular clothing apparel that i was really keen on getting. It’s the Light Weight Pocketable Parka which is from Uniqlo’s Innovation Project Collection. This is a new range and i really love the concept – and of course the clothes themselves. I’m very keen on clothes that serve more than just one purpose – which is to make you look good. I thoroughly appreciate clothing brands that function to what you wear.

For such an active person as myself, I am always on the lookout for clothes that can accomodate my sporty lifestyle and fashion sense. This will be the second season of the Innovative Project wear that is designed to offer exceptional functionality, therefore the prefect garments for engaging in athletic activities.

Ok too hard to understand.. Let me just show you the range. ^_^

The one like i mentioned earlier is UNIQLO’s Light Weight Pocketable Parka. I’m wearing the pink one here hehe.. i love the bright colours. i would’ve opted fo a black, but the bright neon pink just captured my eye. Any wonder that i bought it immediatel?

The best part about this parka? 4 things!!

Light Weight – i seriously mean it when i say it is light
Durable Water Repellency – Meaning you stay dry in wet conditions
Keeps the Cold Wind out – yeap even though it feels majorly thin but due to the special coating on the material, it’ll be able to keep you warm. i wore it for a while in an aircond room and after a while i was perspiring just a bit. So yes you’ll be toasty warm with this baby
Pocketable – You can fold the whole jacket and it will turn into a tiny poach.. oh my gosh!!! Brilliant and convenient!

I can’t wait to try this out when i go maybe hiking or riding out next time… hmm maybe next weekend? Check out the other colours.

See the cute little pocket on the left of the picture. Yeap that’s what the parka will look like once it’s been folded. This is going for RM169.90 for both Men and Women. From Size S-XL. Here i’m trying the blue one, which isn’t too bad either…Bright colours are totally my “thang”.

Moving along.. everyday before i head to the gym, i’m usually at the studio for work. Hence i prefer to be in comfy clothes but I dress myself with my sports attire because this will already put me in the mood to workout. Which is why the UNIQLO’s Track Long Sleeve Jacket and pants would be perfect for me. Coming in 3 main colours and they are super comfy too.Can you guess which one is my favourite colour?

Of course there’s a range for the men too.. Me trying out the white track suit. I have to give it to UNIQLO.. their whites are superbly white! It makes me feel fresh wearing the white jacket. But ultimately the colour i favour the most? Red of course!

Happy Chinese New Year 2012

Taking a time out from everything else to wish you all Happy New Year of the Dragon 2012! May this Year of the Dragon be one that is filled with good health, wealth, prosperity and happiness for all of you.

Chinese New Year is just like any other celebration for me. Traditions are not a huge thing in my family… or rather things have changed over the years. The days when it was all about how many ang paos you would receive and trying all sorts of different cookies to fill your belly – have passed. I still collect ang paos, but counting the amount inside the packets is not the main point anymore. And cookies… oh my gosh.. they are evil for my body lol! Even if it is just for one day, you gorge yourself with “rubbish” food, it’s equivalent to spending 2 weeks in the gym to burn it all off.. ah yes.. i’m a health addict.

Anyways..

What i really enjoy now.. is spending time with my family. Out of all the reunion dinners i’ve had in my life for Chinese New Year, this is probably the best one. It was a simple one with awesome food cooked by my mom and just the immediate family were present. We had a great time just sharing laughs and memories from the past.. And I think that’s what celebrations should be about.. creating new memories with your loved ones.

Here’s to a fantastic Chinese New Year for the year 2012! Huggies!!

Grameen Uniqlo – Let’s End Poverty Together

Uniqlo has great clothes.

No doubt about that.. but you know what makes fashion apparel even cooler? It’s when they fight for a cause . I’m real big and all for brands that want to their part in society. Think this feeling stems off from the days when I used to be a brand planner at my old advertising agency…

Anyway sorry reminiscing for a moment.

Uniqlo has great clothes and they have great clothes with causes!

I was browsing through the usual Uniqlo selections and of course early promotions which I blogged about here… okies they got the heattech range.. they’ve got the super comfy jeans..

Then I came across this aisle.

A bunch of Tees that had wordings on them. Here’s the thing.. I’m a creative creature and I love T shirts with wordings on them.. especially when the words or quotes happen to either be witty or have a meaning behind them. Yeah I love quotes from people ^_^ a

Flipping through the shirts.. even the neck tag had a cool line. Check this out.

The objective of Grameen is to spread the awareness on poverty. You it is true in the great economical scale (wahhh sound so cangging.. but actually I failed in economics ) the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.. let’s try to end that.

Which is why I love the white shirt here.

Do you love chicken? I DO I DO I DO!

Working out a lot means i need to fuel my body with protein, which is why chicken is pretty much my basic white meat that i consume on a daily basis. Cooking and grilling at home is great. Merry Christmas 2011

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas.. last night was a fabulous time with my family at SOULed OUT Hartamas.

For Christmas Eve this year i was working..

You can say i was trying to kill two birds with one stone. i was playing Santarina Emcee for the night at the SOULed OUT North Pole Christmas Party. By the way what do you think of my Santarina outfit! My very first one!

Wow it was really decorated like the north pole! i saw Frosty the snowman and huge huge huge candy canes!

and there were presents hung up ..aww

There were also mischievous elves around that night.. and honestly i think they were confused elves… cause they had little antlers on their heads They were really cheeky, whenever i asked them questions they would either reply in silence or they would break into dance. They were really good at dancing too lol. They also couldn’t stop posing for all the cameras that night.

Throughout the night i read

Lets just say we drank the night away hahhaahaa.. my poor poor sister

And ate lots of cookies!

And fought for the cookies!

It was quite a night and the party was mad on the dancefloor

after a while i went out to change into my second outfit of the night. A classy sexy off shoulder dress, all thanks to the online store Rarablack.com Do check them out. They have the prettiest dresses around ^_^

At the end of the night, everyone at SOULed OUT held a candle and the restaurant was filled with the wonderful sight of a sea of lights. Which brings me to the closure of this post. Hope was born on Christmas Day and that is the very reason we have Christmas.. because Christ was brought into the world. So that the darkness maybe removed.. and there would be light in the world.

The night was a fabulous one and i don’t think it could’ve been any better.. Sure i could’ve spent more time with the family but at least we were altogether to bring in Christmas day.

Christmas The Best Time of The Year

The best time of the year is coming near!! December means two wonderful periods.. Christmas and New Year! The season of Christmas always puts me in a jolly mood, my smile gets even bigger when i hear Christmas carols. And i get a warm fuzzy feeling when i listen to this in the studio.

By the way would you like to own this album by Michael Buble? i’m giving away his Christmas Album on RedFM at the 12pm hour. Trust me this is one album you will just ended up swooning to whenever i hear his voice. As i walk around the malls this is what i see..Wonderful decorations

heheh i see little kids laughing and smiling, everyone taking pictures of the cute and cheery decors. I personally am in love with the centre court decor at Midvalley and One Utama. The one at Tropicana also not too bad either.. it’s like walking in a Winter Wonderland. ^_^

And going through the centre courts and stores.. we got Chritmas tree decors. Hehehe lil silver balls.. i remember as a kid, i broke one of these…. ended up crying cause i felt so bad. lol

Hehehe and of course the Nutcracker soldiers which sometimes you would find at a fireplace or under the tree.

There’s a reason why they say don’t touch.. so you don’t end up breaking something..like me when i was a kiddo lol.

Ahhh the candy canes and lollipops for those with the sweet tooth. Forget Halloween.. Christmas rawks in terms of candy!

Then there is a headache of finding the right box to put your gifts in. and what to buy for your friends and family members.

Don’t forget to light a candle this Christmas ^_^ Be the light to the world and do something nice for someone out there.

Snow globes… ahhhh memories!! Hhahaha i remember breaking this in a mall too yes i was a clutz as a kid. I’ve never seen real snow.. so this was the only kind of snow i could see.. A snow globe lol!

But Christmas is amazing because, it’s not about the presents.. it’s not about the food. It’s about the hope and joy that was born into the world, our Saviour was born. That’s what Christmas is all about. The day love was really brought to the world. Hmmm i’m smiling now as i write this post.

It’s the best time in the world for me because i get to spend time with my loved ones and make even more wonderful memories. ^_^

What is blogging?

I’ll make it clean and simple, by just saying that it is an activity that allows you to jot down your thoughts and life experiences. It’s an online platform where you get to exercise freedom of speech ranging from good, sophisticated speech to the downright rude crude words. I did say it was freedom of speech. ^_^

I’ve been in the blogging sphere for a while now and i’ve had the wonderful honour of meeting quite inga lot of people due to blogging. So when i first told that i would be interviewing peers in the blogging world on my show on RedFM, i was really ecstatic.

and this is the first time i’m going to be attending a blog award! A red carpet blog event.. fuyoh!!

Pitbull Concert

First of all i would like to say a bigggg thank you to my dear dear Prashan. If not for him, I wouldn’t have been able to catch Pitbull Live in Kuala Lumpur.

Yeapers he was done last Thursday to perform for the crazy latino fans at Sunway Surf Turf.

The day of the Pitbull Concert… it rained realllll bad. I almost thought the concert wasn’t even going to happen. The crowd and myself waited for easily an hour over for the concert. The front portion of the stage was completely wet and looked like a teeny dam.

however thank God, the rain subsided, the crowd was still very supportive (i would think it’s because they paid RM398 for their tickets) and the concert was still a great success! The place was really pack!

Being at the Digi VIP Zone was awesome. Away from the crowd and of course there was free flow of Carlsberg and Nandos!!!

The whole night was awesome and Pitbull did a wonderful mashup throughout the night of all the songs he’s collaborated with different artists.

One of the coolest things i have to mention, was the number of times he kept on saying thank you to the crowd. It’s really humbling and inspiring to see even someone as popular and “made” as Pitbull to always remember the fans. Cause they are the ones that made him.
