Ok this was enough to get my mind off my blazing foul temper.

Arin passed this to me just a few minutes ago. A trailer from the upcoming movie next week called “I Am Legend“. The first time i saw a poster on it was a desktop wallpaper on my colleagues computer. But the trailer looks deathly cool. Will Smith is going to star in it and why am i not surprise that it will be an interesting movie. He’s been making good picks for his movie list …from Men In Black all the way down to Ali and I Robot and Hitch. Practically most of my favourite movies star the man.

He is definitely an acting force – imo – to be reckon with. Not only playing those intelligent thrillers he’s also got the whole COOL look which i shall never understand how he does it.

“I Am Legend” by looks of it, seems to resemble a bit of Resident Evil’s storyline. Virus, infection spreads across the human race, hence we have either one person immune to it or we have only one survivor…. or in this case both.

And Will Smith in an interview on the movie.

This is one man who is successful in everything he does. Since his days as a funny man on Fresh Prince of Bel Air, he made his own rap album and then the MIB movie followed by another album. Sings, acts can dance….phew!!!

Ahhhh McDreamy…

I just realised how I have not yet, put up a post on how addicted I am to Grey’s Anatomy. Which also happens to be my favourite TV Show other than Lost… and many others.

Anyway I wanted to post on the upcoming movie enchanted. I just saw the trailer from their Singapore website – Enchanted.

Disney, disney, disney….They did it again! As always another love story coming out from the magical world of Disney. This time what they have lined up is a princess played by Amy Adams, who is pushed into some sort of fountain vortex into our world. She then meets with all the terrible grumpy people of the world who have never experience talking animals – save for parrots, breaking out into song suddenly, and making clothes out of peoples curtains. No she is in culture shock! It’s hilarious!!!!!!!

And James Marsden who is acting as Prince Edward is just as funny! I love the part where he smacks and hugs the ‘magic mirror’ – what we call here the Television. oh and you gotta love the chipmunk… or is it a squirrel that goes around NY with Prince Edward? He looks like such a goof ball haha.. but he played his part well. Hard to get Cyclops out of the head… but James managed to show that he can be the pretty boy prince too.

Check out the wicked witch played by Susan Sarandon. Is it any wonder that she is brilliant. I just saw her in a rerun of “Friends” yesterday, and she is versatile as can be. Ranging from a psychotic mom, to a comedian and now to the nasty witch.

And ooooh my favourite person in the whole movie… Mr Patrick Dempsey who acts as Robert Philip, the sweet human guy that helps out helpless princess and prince back to their world. Our lovely McDreamy….

All girls… now sigh with me….

***swoooonnnn***

I can’t wait to watch it. It’s already out in the cinemas! I’m so behind…

What makes it appealing to the audience, is that the movie takes a bit on making a mockery of the past Disney movies by mixing and animation together with reality. In all fairness it is nothing new, it has been done before. However it is always some thing to see a Disney work it’s magic.

…continuing off from yesterdays post. The movie I was waiting to watch was “Stardust“(warning heavy flash site ahead), that is based on the novel by Neil Gaiman. A lot of people told me of positive reviews given to the movie, which all the more made me want to watch it. It’s not enough that I’m already fascinated with fantasy and medieval story lines, so I really really wanted to watch it.

And it did not disappoint me!

Starting out first with the soothing voice of Ian McKellen who was the voice of the narrator. The story was very simple and had enough adventure in it to capture my attention throughout the film. It helped too that it was marvelously hilarious at certain points. For a B-grade movie…and I may point out… that while it did not have the glamorous effects of Lord Of The Rings, it was still lovely to watch. The film was very well portrayed despite the simple and complicated sets they had. It felt rather bit like how they would have shot scenes in Xena and Hercules then.

The story is about a wall that separates the real world and a realm of fantasy. One man manages to cross over and he meets a princess captured by a witch. Nine months later a baby is left at his doorstep. It seems that this baby, Tristan (Charlie Cox) is the 7th royal blood of the Stormhold kingdom.

Needless to say, his brothers do not know about him and while they kill off one another to gain the throne, everyone is on a search for the fallen star that came from the King (Peter O’ Toole) of Stormhold’s necklace. But the star is actually a beautiful girl, Yvaine (Claire Danes). Tristan searches for the star to bring back to his ‘beloved’ Victoria (Sienna Miller), the king’s remaining sons searches for the necklace to claim the crown and the witches hunt for the star for immortality.

Talk about quite an adventure for the little star.

The cast was fantastic with Claire Danes once again back in the picture. The last movie i saw her in was Little Women, ages ago. Charlie Cox was seen with Sienna Miller in Casanova. Robert De Niro.. well it was quite a surprise to see him in a movie like this, playing the character that he was known for – the mafia man. Michelle Pfeiffer was stunningly elegant and with a great body to boot for her age.

Michelle Pheifer and Robert De Niro stole the limelight ever so often. I think this is her second movie where Michelle acts as a witch again, after her other movie called the Witches of Eastwick acted together with Jack Nicholson and Cher. She was rather scary towards the end where she went from mourning for her sisters, to suddenly cackling like a real lunatic witch. Her funny moments had to be when she was starting to look haggard from using to much magic and she tried to fix her face. In doing so she shot a magic finger to fix her face, but instead her boobs drooped. Hahaha.

Robert De Niro was a fantastic pirate… who had a secret other side of him, which loved being prime and proper….as well as dancing around in his courtesan’s corsets. Haha…What was really hilarious were the slaughtered princes. When one of them dies they become a ghost until the rightful 7th royal blooded prince is united with the necklace. So till then, all six of them wind up as faded beings that can’t be seen by others, but can see everything happening. Like the scene where the last 6th prince, Septimus (Mark Strong) was fighting with one of the witches, and when he killed on of them…his brothers were sitting on the mantel of the fireplace and were cheering like as if it were a football game. Hhahaha

Oh please go watch it, then we can laugh about it. Hahaha.

But on another note, while it was fun to watch, I think it still left me wanting more out of it. I don’t know could be just me. It doesn’t give that satisfying ‘ahhhhh’ after a movie like Lord of The Rings or Pirates.
