The other I popped on over to my old ballet School Dance Art. I must say that it was rather nice to see Ms Chong again after years of not stepping into th studio where I had first learn how to point my toes and kicked of the dancer in me.
The staircase I used to walk up to go to the studio
The studio where i used to learn how to kick my leg up in the air. What I should be proud of now is that I can kick wayyyyy much higher than i could then, as the round ball. Lol!
I can still remember ehhe that that was the first time I had come to know Marcus Khoo… who is also in the list of blogs I read. He was the pianist then when I was nothing more than a round round ball. Hahaha and he was the best pianist a dancer could have. In the exam room if I’m not mistaken us girls would look to him for comfort and if I recall as well when we would get the dance steps a little messed up, he would play slower so we could pick it up.
And wouldn’t you know small small world. Giden knows him in UM and Marcus was his senior. Not to mention they also played in the UM orchestra together. Heheh. It’s so funny how the world is so small and so round.
Anyway, when i went back to Dance Art. Ms Chong didn’t recognise me at all. Well understandable considering I hadn’t stepped foot into the studio for a good 10 years…. my Gosh!!! Ten years!! Time really flew…..So that was my walk down memory lane. Heheh.
Oh by the way, Dance Art also happens to be staging a performance at Istana Budaya at the end of November. I’ll have more information on the dance and performance later this week for those who are keen on supporting the show.
