Yesterday was the first day of rehearsal for Ismail Woo hoo!!! Yes I’m terribly excited.

By the way you can join us on our The Facebook Group.

Picture courtesy of the actual blog site of Ismail The Last Days.

Now on to the story.

Making my way to klpac was pretty much another tense thing just like the audition, maybe not as bad but still my thoughts were just about preparing for what was to come as I didn’t know what to expect and didn’t even know what the story of the play was about.

I was about 20 minutes early to rehearsal time which started at 7.30pm sharp. And when i say sharp I mean Sharp sharp sharp that you can slice your hand off and it can still be reattached to your body because it is so sharp! Ok that was way exaggerated but, punctuality is a must for this. Which will be great discipline for me and also as a person raised in a country where time is always taken for granted and on other occasions I will end up being late.

So here we have it ladies and gentlemen: The Script of Ismail in my hands.. or on my table anyway.

Heading into the rehearsal I was delighted to see old friends and new ones that I will finally get to work with in this production. Some of them were from the past classes I took at KLPac like the Practical Aesthetics Class and The Acting for Beginners Class. It was really a joy to see them all and even some well known faces in the performing arts circle. In fact it’s a real BLESSING to even be in this. I can’t begin to even say how happy i am to be among the few to be involved with this. (Those who have been involved before, say all you want on the pain I shall be in, I’m ready!)

At the same time though, there will be a number of pain, heartache, disappointment and frustration along with it. At first I was a bit nervous even scared about the first day of rehearsals and this is my friend Min Li also shares the same feelings as me. It’s expected that there will be some hard times. On my end I felt anxious about the whole thing…I don’t know maybe it’s because I want it badly. Maybe it’s because I know it’s a possible stepping stone to a better career. I’m not fully sure.

But I do know that I’m going to work my butt off for this. I’ll go in for rehearsals super early just to get ready. Not for sucking up – no – as some may see. No rather, it’s to build my mentality that I need to prepare for the roles as part of the ensemble.

Everyone plays a part in this show, and what I love so much was how Joe as the director gave a very deep insight for us to look at this play. Not just in the script but us as actors and how we should see ourselves worth in this production. I was very appreciative of that.

The entire rehearsal process will be documented and made into a video wheeee also by my friend Alexander. So it’ll be nice to see what goes on behind the scenes of this production. Nick Dorian, Fang and I have also started a blog site for the production, which we will up date every once in a while.

You can view that here: Ismail The Last Days.

This is what happens when you have avid bloggers in the midst.

This should probably go into the About page, but I’d be interesting to write something on it. Of late, I’ve been getting a lot of why do you use Aronil when you already have a name like Linora.

Even more so, cause on facebook not many seem to be able to find me, cause I use Aronil and I’m the only Aronil there. But a number of people who got to know me through Facebook, have gotten confuse and thought Aronil was the real name…hehe. Whoopsie..

How did Aronil start?
Well it all began when I first met Mister G. We were just hanging out during rehearsal with other people and then he was saying it would be interesting if I turned my name around and it would still make another name. Actually i tried it before long ago, but i just let it die off. It wasn’t until he mentioned that which was when i decided using it again as a nickname.

From there well it kinda got stuck on me and I grew to like it. I mostly use it thought for online stuff, so if you were to google aronil or yahoo it. You’ll find a bunch of stuff related with it, which is mostly all my accounts or something. It’s a fun name though ^_^ and it’s even cooler cause i get to to mess with people’s heads and tell them it’s Linora on the first go and then Aronil on the next.. hehee

Either way, I’m still sticking with Aronil. She will live on!!!

Lol, I got tagged and to be honest I originally wanted to be tagged and then I didn’t want to be because I would get lazy to go and reply to the tag request. But here’s me being not lazy and answering a tag by fellow blogger Joshua Ong.

His original post had lots of things to be tagged on, but I’ll stick to the tag that had been going around for a while. So let’s see.. Five things that people never knew about aronil.

Fact 1

Since I was a kid, I never liked the dark. It took me a long while to sleep by myself in a room and I use to bunk in me parents room till a quite ripe teenage age.

Sad.. yeah that was until I got my own room and then I managed to sleep alone..but of course i would need a night light on ^_P I still don’t like the dark and I’d prefer sleeping with a night light. It doesn’t annoy me as much as some would think any sort of light would distract them from sleeping

Fact 2

I was an avid collector of earrings. The amount of them is absolutely maddening. I’ve got earrings ranging from the dangling ones, to studs, to big hoop earrings, to weird ones with feathers.

I still collect them, but the odd thing is that now I’ve gotten pretty lazy in actually figuring out which ones to wear during the day. When I’m lazy I will wear a pair of earrings for about a good week or so, like the big hoop ones. I remember I had one favourite one, which was a pair of silver ball earrings. I wore that for a good month over without taking them out. Speaking of which, the silver has stained and I need to go clean them now.

Fact 3

I was extremely obsessed with Warbook on Facebook last year.

Very very badly addicted. During working hours, when I wasn’t working, emphasis when I was free!! I visited the warbook page a fair amount of time, so I could wipe out a number of people, have online meetings with three other people by using our resources as a collaborative force and get to a high level. It was crazy.I could jump from a level 1 – level 25 in matter of two hours, with acreage of nearly 100 million over. It was MAD!!! and the money was wonderful… bwahaahahaahaha…Power hungry ^_P

Fact 4

When I was in kindergarten…They would pick a kid every Monday morning to raise the national flag as all the students sang Negaraku. I was always very eager to raise the flag.

I hadn’t been picked yet, so i decided to practice at home. See I had this one window, where the curtains will be raised upwards like the flag. So during the other days, I would practice singing the Negarku and raising my curtain flag. Hehehe and preparation paid off too. After a few weeks I got picked to raise the flag wheee.

Fact 5

As much as I hate teeny boppers. I was.. indirectly a teeny bopper too at one point in my life. I had the most ridiculous crush on the actor Devon Sawa… which when I think about it now.

I really have only one thing to say, which is ihck ichck ichhhhkkk… What the heck was I thinking????? Like eeew eew ewww… Ohhh ghastly the horror to think i had stooped to the teeny bopper level… aiiiii

So there we go.. The 5 things, no many people would know about Aronil. ^_^

Oh and now I’m going to tag back 5 people.

Nessa

Amy

Sheon

Valerie Dweams

Pinksterz

By Random yeah ^_^

Ever since Nuffnang came out with their new search section the “Tag Cloud” A few weeks back, our fellow blogger, King Shorty = David (yes my lord, a back to back pimpin ), came up with a brilliant way to market himself by typing in his name every single time he posted a post on Innit. Very smart dude.

Needless to say he had two minions following along Myself and Miss Song Song = Pamsong.

Put it this way. It’s a smart way of elevating oneself in the blogging dome… So i won’t be surprised at all if people start doing it too hehe. But for now, I’ll just say that us narcissistic and egoistic freaks of nature, have gone on the tagging thyself band wagon.
