I’ve always been bias to WordPress since I stared having it hosted on my own domain. That said though, as i have mentioned many times in at least two post (yes that’s many times) that I have been having some website drama on my end for the past couple of weeks. After much consideration I’m going to consider opening up my aronil.blogspot.com account again, for others to view. I wanted aronil.com to be the primary one, but now i’m having second thoughts.

Wordpress VS Blogger

I’m thinking in terms for example when the day i can’t pay for my domain or my hosting provider (That means the day i’m no longer on this plane.) Sure we are all temporal beings here but hey, there are something that I would like to see maintained or sort of still around when I’m gone. One of them would be my blog, which i have come to cherish alot. I didn’t realise how much i did till i couldn’t access it at all. Anyways why I would still keep a blogger account. Firstly it’s not terribly as nit picky as wordpress. Sure you can do all sorts of stuff easily with wordpress but for those who don’t wish to be bothered by that, it’s always good that you can count on good ol blogspot. Plus I think they are a lot more flexible in terms of coding compared with the wordpress.com, which you have to pay in order to edit the css and save it. Here are my favourite points on blogs:
  1. They are tied up with Google (Fav brand and overall service)
  2. Ease of creating a new post
  3. the new layout feature is so friendly
  4. When creating a new blog they know have the advanced option (very cool!)
  5. At least I will never have to worry bout my blog suddenly dying on me.
SO which would i pick? WordPress or Blogger, I will still stick with WordPress but I’ll keep blogger as my backup.
