I don’t follow American idol as much as i’d like. but i decided to try to follow season 10 for two special reasons. Steve Tyler from Aerosmith and J.Lo as the new american Idol judges. i LOVE the two of them!!! They are my favourite judges. JLo brings the articulation that has been missing from the female judges side and Steve is a nice musical touch, with empathic pizazz and humour. I think the two of them are an excellent addition to the American Idol judging panel. Simon i do miss you, Paula you had a great run, and Ellen – i love you – but well i just missed “you” when you played judge.. you were funny though. Back to the point of my post.. i want to talk about one contestants who has touched the hearts of millions of viewers all over the world. I’m sure you already know who i’m talking about. He’s an absolute darling with the voice of an angel and a heart of gold. I’m talking about none other than Chris Medina!! This young man entered American Idol and was unfortunately not in the top 24. His story starts with with his girlfriend, Juliana Ramos. A lovely girl whom he proposed to. One year into the engagement and she met with a terrible accident which has caused her to become for lack of a better word “special”. Chris has dedicated his life to being her primary caregiver..which is so terribly sweet. Not many people would stick with a person who is no longer as capable as they once were.. i do believe Chris fought to stay with Juliana. She’s really blessed to have a person like him. I do really really pray that a miracle will happen for her and she will be able to recover. Chris really defines a man.. man! The story moved J.Lo to tears when she had to let him go.. But on one hand, the show has to portray that it is about the music and not just a compelling story. Everyone was routing for him but ultimately the show is about how well you sing. However getting in to just the top 40 is an achievement by itself. His story is now known and there will be more to come for Chris and his girlfriend. But even though he’s not in the top 24, immediately in the same week his song “What Are Words” was officially released online. Plus Medina was invited to perform on Friday’s Feb. 25 episode of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” The song called “What Are Words” which was written by Rodney Jerkins specifically for Medina. In fact, Ryan Seacrest mentioned on his radio show that Chris Medina would be given a special gift. It was a cheque for $35,000 to the foundation that is helping Chris’ fiance recover from her accident. Better still two other people donated another $35,000 and thats by Topher Grace and Ryan Kavanaugh.. The video is so moving and he cried… oh man.. even i teared T_T You can support Juliana at this foundation Laurus Foundation and even twitter hashtags #supportjuliana. And if you want to support further, go watch the movie Take Me Home Tonight, cause the producers will be giving 1 percent of the movies box office to the donation. So…. imagine 30 million it’ll be 300 thousand. That could really help the foundation a long way. “What are Words” is a moving song that really just tells about how we give a lot of emotional verbal statements in life… but do we mean them. Like when we say I love you and i’ll never leave you. Do we really mean that? Are the words we say only meant for good times and nothing more? The words really just speak to you and i can’t agree more. I do hope the person we intend of sharing our life with, will mean the words they say and have a soul as beautiful as Chris’s..

Anywhere you are, I am near Anywhere you go, I’ll be there Anytime you whisper my name, you’ll see How every single promise I keep Cuz what kind of guy would I be If I was to leave when you need me most What are words If you really don’t mean them When you say them What are words If they’re only for good times Then they don’t When it’s love Yeah, you say them out loud Those words, They never go away They live on, even when we’re gone And I know an angel was sent just for me And I know I’m meant to be where I am And I’m gonna be Standing right beside her tonight And I’m gonna be by your side

I would never leave when she needs me most What are words If you really don’t mean them When you say them What are words If they’re only for good times Then they don’t When it’s love Yeah, you say them out loud Those words, They never go away They live on, even when we’re gone Anywhere you are, I am near Anywhere you go, I’ll be there And I’m gonna be here forever more Every single promise I keep Cuz what kind of guy would I be If I was to leave when you need me most I’m forever keeping my angel close

Probably I’m behind on this and it was already over months ago, I’m not too sure. But i just watched the last episode of The Celebrity Apprentice which is by far the best season ever of The Apprentice. Trump is really really one smart man and he handles himself extremely well to television viewers. I wrote about it here a while back.

Donald Trump

Back to the last episode of The Apprentice Season 7 which ran for 13 episodes, I have to say it is the most dramatic season I’ve ever seen. First off maybe it’s because they are all celebrities and thats why they have to dramatise everything up. Either that or we can really say celebrities are always over the top in personality ^_P.

Piers and Trace the Finalist for Celebrity Apprentice

In the last episode we had Trace Adkins the famous country singer up against the fast witted and sharp tongued Piers Morgan. Trace Adkins is fighting for the FAAN (Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network), while Piers was fighting for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The whole season was fighting for a cause, and none of the causes are any less important than the other. However it is still a competition and each celebrity had to bring all they could to get the big prize money which was $250 000 for their charity.

Fallen Heroes on The Celebrity Apprentice

The fight down to the two of them in the boardroom was a great one. See it was one major event where the two teams were to collaborate with one another and Trump would see who did a better job. In terms of the auction sales and ticket sales. That said I can’t help but give a lot of praise to Piers despite his nasty attitude he must have a nice streak in him somewhere. He is absolutely brilliant and terribly smart. He can really make money out of nothing, has great presentation skills, a brain of creative ideas popping out and not forgetting his Brit roots of strategic annihilation of the oponent. Trace on the other hand, has a wonderful mannerism to him. A truly wonderful character which I am so glad is under God’s belt. I would sincerely like to believe that he is as nice as he is on television, because he is the epitome of every girl, lady and woman’s dream man. Charming to the core, gentle, handsome, sweet and intelligent….oh gosh his wife is so incredibly blessed. And on a plus plus plus note, he has a fantastic voice!!!! Sadly though I have to agree with the fact, that as much as I wanted Trace to win, cause he’s such a great guy and he’s really fighting for a cause that he holds dear to his heart. Piers would win because the name of the game really does mean it’s all about business and business is about bringing in the money, which Piers can certainly do. I do wish that Trace could’ve won it so that FAAN could find a cure for his daughter who suffers from food allergies. A bit more on the two noble charities. Trace Adkins connection to FAAN (Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network):
Trace’s 6-year old daughter had a severe, life-threatening reaction to peanut butter when she was just 18 months old, an experience Trace called “terrifying.” His daughter also suffers from allergies to eggs and milk. Trace feels that research could lead to greater understanding of food allergies, and perhaps someday a cure.

FAAN publishes several newsletters and provides books, booklets, videos, and other products designed to educate about food allergy.

Piers Morgans connection to Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund :
This charity particularly resonates with him because his brother has fought in 2 tours of duty in Iraq and his brother-in-law has fought in 2 tours of duty in Afghanistan. They both have lost several friends and comrades and Piers feels that this is a great charity to play for.
