DC Comics Green Lantern launch is happening soon! Can’t wait and I’m all ready to be superhero-fied. The coolest part about DC Comics clothing store has got to be their changing rooms. the minute you go in, you just wanna stay there and read the walls hahha. oOh OOOo and of course their seriously cool bags! Soo will i be seeing you at this event?

Puma Happy Hunting at Ecoba

Cats on the run, from wolves with riffles… that was what i saw at the Puma Happy Hunting Fashion Show! The entrance of Ecoba was dressed up with target symbols along with big splats of colours all over the place. At the entrance everyone got their wrist band and a sticker. Of course there had to be a photo taken with the colourful wall. The pink dress is from Caron Boutique by the way ^_^ I honestly wish i had a clearer picture or at least taken it with my proper camera that has flash!

I liked how Andy Kho stuck the sticker to his newly shaved head. Courtesy to him for some of the shots below.

My dear gorgeous model friends were up on the stage doing their strutting and trying to shy away from getting shot at the same time. Well actually they wanted to get shot, by the huge DSLR cameras next to the cool looking runway.

It was a simple and yet entertaining event, considering the stage was so small and that everything had to be done in that confined space. I personally enjoyed all the performances. Among them were by beatboxer Shawn Lee, the dashing violinist Dennis Lau and the amazing acrobatic Wakaka Crew. Check out the video below of the entire Fashion Show sequence.

Passion For Fashion

The first time i met the dashingly suave Josiah Mizukami and his lovely hot hot friendly girlfriend Natacha Meunier – both by the way are international models - was right after I had done a Coke commercial for the World Cup.

It feels like ages ago, but it was honestly only a few months back. The two of them are beautiful as a couple and one can’t help but love the energy they both have for the industry. Not to mention admire and be terribly envious at how well they are moving in Asia…

You can see Natacha in practically every famous mall in KL and also on the highway up from KL to Penang and back.. hence i will never forget that woman haha. Just a couple of nights ago, they held the passion For Fashion event at Bakita, located in Changkat. This event was also a collaboration with Johnnie Walker Malaysia.

Rating for the party and host… 10!!! The place was packed to the brim, but still everyone managed to have a good time. Never have there been so many models, talents and agents all squashed into one building for one night… Ok that’s and exaggeration but it is justifiable, base on my context which is i haven’t been to a party with that many models Poor Natacha was running all over the place, while Josiah was busy hosting for the event. Carlsberg Party at the HQ

I’ve been terribly busy since the year started. Busy is good i believe.. for that means i’m not sitting around idle. However it is also good to have a bit of a breather every once in a while. Just so that I can tell my brain and body that hey, you’ve worked enough, it’s time for some chill out time… Even though i don’t have the time to chill out :S

All the same I managed to just have a good time at the Carlsberg Party I managed to drag Giden along with me to the event which i’m quite sure he had fun too. Managed to see a number of familiar faces too hehe.. not too mention one of our mutual gal friends happens to be in the top 12 finalist for the FHM Girls Next Door. Her name is Lesley people! and go vote.

And i haven’t done this in a while, where i blog about an event and then show tons and tons of pictures.. So here goes.

Host of the night was Stephanie Tan and she started the night off with a drinking game.

Not getting into the details of it.. i managed to sneak myself out of the game Was about to take a sip…

But decided against it.. Hey i one glass is enough with the calories and all the beer was free flowing. Whoopsie daisies. Good for me too. I want to also just say (allow me to be bimbette for a bit), I really like my top ^_^

However Giden didn’t manage to get out of the small contest. This was the group he was ‘unfortunately’ planted with.

Game: Two groups suppose to compete to finish all four glasses of Carlsberg beer laid out on the table. I would like to say that the team my dear boy was on won and managed to get some free goodie bags. However it just wasn’t meant to be. I think the FHM girl group won. Man they can really chug down their beer!

Hah eat that boys in the other teams. Naturally there had to be a photo session with the top 12 finalist for the FHM Girls Next Door.

Followed by my own session of snap taking with the other girl bloggers for the nite. Below Emeryn, Yann, Me and Jocelyn Coco.

Then came another game for the night, where one had to collect as many balloons as possible. Out of those balloons, some had a snowflake on them like the ones Simon over here is trying desperate to grab at. He really collected a number of balloons. And if there is some dot or marking on the snowflake then you get to win a prize. Something like that….

It’s hot I will say, very hawt! Poor thing for the boy in glasses, she had already left the party.So making a small shout out to the finalists:

Can you believe that my dear honey, actually new the emcee from a very long time ago in Penang? The world never ceases to amaze me in how small it is.

Met up with some new friends too. Here is Ev Ooi and his lovely girlfriend Selena. We were trying to take a shot with my tiny camera.. then Evo had to bring out his big slr camera and did the camwhore shot with it. :S hmmph made my camera feel so insecure

There is a story why i took this picture. Everyone just kept bumping into this table, which happened to have a number of drinks on it. I was just waiting for that table to tip over and make a loud commotion .. heh.

As a small update. I didn’t manage to win the Carlsberg Christmas Tree Contest. For two major reasons.

The winner of the contest, was just mad!But I mean it in a good way, she really went all out to get herself that free party at Carlsberg. She had trinketized her tree with over 1200 people!!! One Thousand Two Hundred people!!! I only had a measily…. 230..??? I think

Anyhoo the winner – Junjunriko, was a tough person to beat. And I would like to congratulate her. Well done on playing the game to it’s utmost potential babe!
Now the other reason.. I don’t know why but i couldn’t trinket my tree anymore after a while It could be the fact that maybe i must have screwed up something in the system, because i was actually trying to be faster and did the trinketing with two browser windows open. :S I tried clearing the cache nothing, i signed out and into facebook again.. nothing. Oh well it just wasn’t meant to be for me to win with this tree….

However I got a wonderful note just yesterday saying that I am invited to the party by Carlsberg!

Woot wootttt!!

So in other words the other parts of hardwork and trying to get many people on my tree was not in vain. I still get to party at Carlsberg and meet new people along with familiar faces. Wheeeeee

I look forward to meeting you guys at the party! And thanks again Carlsberg.

Carlsberg Christmas Tree Contest Update

Christmas has come and gone. I miss it already.. all that cheer and fun beneath the tree..Sounds so commercial and Americana lol. Actually i didn’t have a tree in my new house this year. Don’t think we bothered off putting it up. We had more fun entertaining old friends though that came around to the house. Christmas time is not about the tree or the presents – not to me anyway – those are all materialistic values. Christmas is the day Jesus was born and hope came to the earth. That is the biggest thing to celebrate and even more, so I’d want to celebrate the wonderful occasion with people whom i care for….

Which reminds me… hehe

Ok ok, as much as i enjoy the company of people. You still just gotta have a tree somewhere. And now that i think about it, its been a while since i hard a party with my close friends. The last i remember having one was…. was…. yeah… too long ago that i can’t remember. Hence all the more – i have a reason to try and win this private party. I’m a Sherlock Holmes in the Making

I really enjoy treasure hunts and playing the game cluedo. Granted I’m no genius in finding out who is the killer all the time.. or maybe most of the time… but i have fun playing these two games a lot. And ever since I saw the trailer of the new Robert Downey Jr movie “Sherlock Holmes”. I really couldn’t help myself from getting all excited about the movie. Robert Downey Jr – whom some of you may remember as the all new version of Iron Man – is a brilliant actor. I’ve always been very entertained by all the characters he’s played.. thriller comedies… whatever he’s good at all of them. Just watch this trailer and then “try” to tell me that it’s not going to be interesting.

So when someone tells me I have the chance to get free movie tickets for this film. I’m going to jump at it. Because Mr Downey… is hot, brilliant and funny…. and HOT! Allow me to be a bimbette for a while. Nuffnang is giving away two tickets and all i need to do is just find the two “hidden” images of the Sherlock Holmes poster on the sidebar of two blogs. Manchester United Training

Another series post. All about Manchester United down in KL

Friday was just the training session of the Manchester United players that came down for the Asian Tour. Heading there was a very very predictable jam waiting to happen. It was quite funny to see people in a number of cars heading to the stadium, all in their favourite jerseys. I spotted on Liverpool fan in the crowd lol.

We were all just under the blazing sun and it was super hawt! I was hoping to get a tan while at it :S

The place was not as packed to brim that day. I think only about 50 thousand people were permitted in with the training pass.

Frankly the training pass wasn’t much. I just had to laugh at the fact, that tens of thousands of people went to watch just to see some of their favourite players roll about on the grass haha. But hey all in good fun

Puppy Day 2009

I’m a dog lover, I seriously am. I want to say I’m an animal lover but I dogs are an absolute favourite of mine. Last Sunday was the Malaysian Dog Day 2009, held at the Chin Woo Stadium which is located right smack in front of the Wesley Methodist Church along Jalan Hang Jebat.

We ended up going to the wrong stadium at first, cause it was quite easily mistaken for Staidum Merdeka. It didn’t help that we saw dog owners parking there and walking out from the wrong Jstadium. Parking was not the most wonderful thing. ust outside the stadium the narrow road was virtually jam pack with cars. Very helpful though that we could park in the church right next to it

It was a joy to see dog lovers of every kind. The first few dogs i saw were a bunch of Golden Retrievers outside the entrance of the stadium. Outside there were a bunch of tents selling doggy goodies. Two gorgeous Retrievers.

One Shih Tzu and a mini Pincher. The Mini Pincher’s legs seriously reminded me of chicken feet. So scrawny and gangly. lol

I think this is another breed of Shih Tzus. I‘ll never understand why people love putting pink ribbons on their dogs head. haha.

Inside the Chin Woo Stadium, competitions such as the Dog Fashion Show and Dog Obedience test were taking place. The fashion show really had some adorable dogs and you can see how some of the owners are so gung ho about dressing up their dogs. Like this one below!

A Golden Retriever turned into a clown. Poor dog haha. But it was definitely a popular winner. Everyone wanted to take a picture with it.

And moving on to even more dogs at the event….

This was just too cute to pass up. A Mnachester United dog fan hehe. Take a guess which is the head!

This dog is abso-tive-aly gorgeous. Her name is Fergie and she is a mini collie. Or also known as a Shelties. She is like a little toy dog!

This SIberian Husky looks like a wolf and a really smart dog too. I can’t say much of the owner though.. or rather the lady owner. They were playing a game called Simon Says where you basically follow the instructions of the commander and then just do what he says. Say the commander says sit. Then both the owner and the dog have to sit, unless told otherwise like ‘Give the dog a kiss on the head’’. The owner didn’t really know how to play

This was a very shaved shih tzu hehe. Look at its face haha. It’s so saddeningly cute. I know i’m creating all sorts of words that don’t even exist here. haha.

I personally enjoyed it when they had the obedience test. Check out the video.

Overall it was fun but I think the event could’ve been more interesting. What made it worth my while was just checking out the dogs and of course the company i had gone to see it with. It’s always more fun when you have another dog lover to watch stuff like this. Watch out for my next post on the Pet World Malaysia Event!

Klue Urbanscape 2009

Last year KLPac was practically my second home cause I had shows back to back. But in the midst of all that I missed out on one particular event which i’m feeling rather sore about.

The event I’m talking about is the Klue Urbanscape.

A place where everything is a stage; Live music ranging from grunge to jazz playing in the background; Screenings of films you would not see in our local cinemas yet; Funky, whacky, outrageous and maybe even cheap fashionable apparel.

In a shorter way to put it the Urbanscapes is an all-day “user-generated” creative showcase of the city’s best in music, art, theatre, film, fashion and with a bunch of marketplace vendors thrown into boot.

Here is what you will be catching at the event. Just click and it will link you straight up to the main website. ~~And yes if it looks like it’s from the urbanscapes website it is cause i think they gave a very cool breakdown of each category that is going down that day.~~

Coming from an arts industry myself. I would be looking most forward to are the street performances and the indicines. Especially since I know some of people who will be performing and showing off their works. Such as T4YP, The Oral Stage, Comeback Kings and Electric Minds Project. All the more I am SUPPORTING the arts scene! If not how else will it grow here.

Maybe the other reason i missed it last year was because i didn’t manage to win free tickets to the event. Yes it’s not a happening all day event that you can just waltz into..unless you have a ticket!

I’ll be honest in saying that as a struggling artist myself I’m always trying to get free tickets and guess what I’m going to share the wealth on how to win those tickets for Klue Urbanscapes 2009.

How to get your FREE TICKETS!

First of all if you are a Xpax/U.O.X. customer then guess what you are entitled to getting 2 free tickets!! But you have to be one of the first 200 customers first. If you are a new customer just a buy a Rm30 reload and get a free Xpax/U.O.X. starter pack. For you existing U.O.X people just reload RM30. Then get your free tickets from the booth next to the ticketing counter at the event. And I’m sorry but you can only reload once and to get the tickets. You can like reload and reload to get free tickies.. no fair!

But if say you missed out on being the first 200 customers… Too bad la!

I’m kidding… there is still some hope.

How to get TICKET DISCOUNTS!

Tickers are priced at RM35 but as an Xpaxerion (yes i made that term up!), you are entitled to getting them at RM25 – Hey RM10 discount better than no discount i say. If you’re not an Xpax user i suggest getting yourself a pack and then redeem this discount. How?

Step 1: Go to the Xpax booth close to the ticketing booth whereby they will be verified to see if they are a Xpax / U.O.X customer. If not they are not a customer they will be required to sign up for Xpax / U.O.X

Step 2: They will be issued a discount voucher. Each customer will only be able to buy 2 tickets maximum

Step 3: Bring the discount voucher to the normal ticketing booth , submit the voucher and purchase the tickets

Simple enough right!! Now moving on.. Yeah my info doesn’t just end there.

Are you into photography?

If you are then this contest is for you. There’s a contest called the (X) SNAPS! Contest and yeap it’s open to all you Xpax members out there. This will run from the 27th of June to the 11th of July 2009. So yes you can still take part in it even after Urbanscapes is over.

Step 2:Upload the pictures via the following methods:

The subject of the MMS must include the following information separated by a comma:

which category the picture is supposed to be in,

After the Event
Participants can still upload the pictures that they have taken via the following methods:
