Carlsberg Christmas Tree Contest Update

Christmas has come and gone. I miss it already.. all that cheer and fun beneath the tree..Sounds so commercial and Americana lol. Actually i didn’t have a tree in my new house this year. Don’t think we bothered off putting it up. We had more fun entertaining old friends though that came around to the house. Christmas time is not about the tree or the presents – not to me anyway – those are all materialistic values. Christmas is the day Jesus was born and hope came to the earth. That is the biggest thing to celebrate and even more, so I’d want to celebrate the wonderful occasion with people whom i care for….

Ok ok, as much as i enjoy the company of people. You still just gotta have a tree somewhere. And now that i think about it, its been a while since i hard a party with my close friends. The last i remember having one was…. was…. yeah… too long ago that i can’t remember. Hence all the more – i have a reason to try and win this private party. Let’s join in the party with Carlsberg here.

So how has my tree been growing? First of all.. I’ve been a bit stagnant in growing my tree since the first day. Currently I’m at 12 ft.. so lets see how long it’s going to take for me to push it to the next level. This was on the first day.. Some of the other contestants were at level 3 during that same period But crap.. i think i’m losing out!

It is that time of the year again. Where we bring much joy and cheer. And what more to do it than with a bottle of Carlsberg beer. Lol I hadn’t realized that the sentence has rhymes in it. Last year, a friend of mine Davina Goh had entered the FHM Girls Next Door 2009 contest. She managed to be one of the top ten finalist and even then I’m already proud of her for getting that far! The FHM Girls Next Door contest has started again and this time you can get invites to the PARTY!!! And just to give you a taste of who the contestants are… I’m putting up my Top 4 (Girls please don’t hate me – you are all gorgeous!) Well those are my top 4 anyway. Want to know their names or see more of the other contestants? Then head on to the fan page! For all you know, you may actually KNOW one of the girls that have been nominated in as one of the finalist. Really is a Carlsberg Nice One Ok now how is this related to anything techy? Well look on below and you’ll see that in order to get invites to the FHM Girls Next Door 2010 Party you will need to first of all play a little game on facebook. For those who aren’t already familiar with the infamous social medium head on to Facebook and make yourself an account to check out the pretty ladies on this year. How? **Did I also mention you can have a party hosted at the Carlsberg HQ for free if you win?** Follow the instructions below. You have to play a game I call “hanging your friends on the Christmas tree”. Basically the more friends you hang on the tree as little trinkets, your tree will get taller and taller. Step 1 – Head on to The Carlsberg Application here Step 2 – Pick a friend.. any friend and choose a pic from their photos. Step 3 – Add your friend to your trinket tree. Now repeat! Who is Aronil Low?

Finally after like ages and ages of waiting, my name on Facebook has been changed to something that’s closer to my real name.

A number of people have gotten confused between my real name and my online name aronil. To the point some even thought I was a guy because of the name Aronil!!!! Harlooooo it’s no where near the name Aron or Aaron.. no offence to any Aarons out there. I’ve been trying to change it for over a month and reason it didn’t allow me apparently was one) approval issues with facebook. 2) I did not know i had to put in my full name. Which I’m never revealing here. Anyway, just a short post to say it’s now as it should be (pppeehhh) Linora Aronil Low. I still insist on putting Aronil there! So there! ^_P Although i’m going to miss seeing it just as Aronil Low…. oh well.

Facebooks New Chat Feature

I just logged in to my facebook account and was delighted to see something staring back up at me at the bottom of the page. [album=3,extend] It’s pretty cool!! First you get to see people who are online and then next to it the latest happenings on your facebook in a neat little bar. You also get another area to update your status along with the cool part of clicking on people to chat with them… Ahhhh Facebook, how easily you get me to fall in love again.

The Facebook Badge

This has been bugging me for ages. I kept seeing these cool badges of the facebook profile on people’s blogs and sites like these

and was cracking my head as to how to get one… and finally I managed to get one on my sidebar. So how to get one? Well go to your profile page on Facebook and just head all the way down to the bottom of the page. There you will see these very nicely hidden words ‘Create a Profile Badge’. Sheesh. It’s sooo small.

I feel so DUH!!!! So go make your own.. and you know what I think I want to start something on this.. SHOUT OUT: People make a badge gimme a beep on the and I’ll add it my list of Facebook Badges
