My latest toy. I’ve been considering a number of possible accessories lately for my Ipod Touch. That’s the bad bad bad thing about my new toy. It requires me.. or rather tempts me to go out an buy it accessories. Bad Bad girl. Anyway lets have a review for the Griffin Roadtrip.  My new car the Proton Persona, comes with an mp3 player. However that doesn’t stop me from getting the Griffin Roadtrip because it allowed me to listen to my Itouch on the go. Originally I had settled for a cheaper FM transmitter which creates radio waves for my Ipod Touch, allowing me to listen to my songs on the go as if it were a radio station.

I would’ve bought something that allowed me to just plug and play via an auxiliary jack, but the thing with the Persona is that it doesn’t come with that. Stupid.. came with a decent player but no auxiliary jack. This gave me no choice (I know I could’ve just stuck with listening to plain radio in the car) – to buy an fm radio braodcaster. I would like to thank this blogger, Jijoy, for giving me the heads up on his/her blog that the Persona definitely does not come with any auxiliary point.

I have nothing but raving reviews for the Griffin Roadtrip as it settles all my entertainment needs when I’m driving around. And I do love just cruusing around sometimes. Being by myself in the car.. – that’s a different story.  I bought this for RM 442. Pain in the pocket, I can tell you.

Pros about the Griffin Roadtrip:
  1. Comes with Smartscan, which automatically scans stations that are available (means filled with static) and you can automatically sync your Ipod to your car.
  2. Sound quality is like 98% excellent, except for the occasional fzzz or bzzzz.
  3. Charges your Ipod as well! SUPERB!
  4. Flexible steel neck and interchangeable iPod model-specific cradles position your iPod perfectly within reach, never in the way
  5. Works with practically all the Ipod models (mine is the latest Ipod Touch 2G so I absolutely made sure it was compatible)
  6. Very easy to use, just plug it into the cigarette lighter and you are ready to go.
Cons:
  1. Bulges out a little bit – but that can’t be helped.
  2. Quite pricey!!!
So those are my thoughts on the Griffin Roadtrip. For those who love driving, love music and your Ipod.. go get this!
