Christmas has come and gone. I miss it already.. all that cheer and fun beneath the tree..Sounds so commercial and Americana lol. Actually i didn’t have a tree in my new house this year. Don’t think we bothered off putting it up. We had more fun entertaining old friends though that came around to the house. Christmas time is not about the tree or the presents – not to me anyway – those are all materialistic values. Christmas is the day Jesus was born and hope came to the earth. That is the biggest thing to celebrate and even more, so I’d want to celebrate the wonderful occasion with people whom i care for….

Ok ok, as much as i enjoy the company of people. You still just gotta have a tree somewhere. And now that i think about it, its been a while since i hard a party with my close friends. The last i remember having one was…. was…. yeah… too long ago that i can’t remember. Hence all the more – i have a reason to try and win this private party. Let’s join in the party with Carlsberg here.

So how has my tree been growing? First of all.. I’ve been a bit stagnant in growing my tree since the first day. Currently I’m at 12 ft.. so lets see how long it’s going to take for me to push it to the next level. This was on the first day.. Some of the other contestants were at level 3 during that same period But crap.. i think i’m losing out!

Monkey Island Special Edition

Arrrrrr….avast ye matey! All ye pirate lovers out there, for those who believe in the power of the monkey then ye be glad to hear that Monkey Island is back!

Rememer the nimrod Guybrush Threepwood and his lady love the Governor Elaine Marley? Not to mention the terriba-ba-ble Pirate LeChuck.

Now i’ve only played bits and pieces of Escape from Monkey Island. But this game is sure lots of fun. The game is by the same man who created Star Wars and its probably as old as that film lol. A game with wit and humour what more can i ask for. I think the most memorable bits of Monkey Island had to be the insult sword fights and insult arm wrestling. lol.!

Anyway here is the scoop on Monkey Island. There is technically two new games out. One is the Monkey Island Special Edition which is sorta like a remake of the first game entitled Secret of Monkey Island. I’m not sure if they are going to remake part 2 of Monkey Island though….

The first two games were on DOS and since we are now in the period of Vista we can’t find that anymore let alone play it. But with the Monkey Island Special Edition you not only get to play the game which has been lost to us so long ago but for those hardcore fans you can view it in pixeled format. Pretty much like the image above.

The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is an enhanced remake of The Secret of Monkey Island for the PC, Xbox Live Arcadeand iPhone/iPod touch developed internally by LucasArts and released on 15 July 2009. The remake was announced on the first day of the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo along with the episodic Tales of Monkey Island (I’ll talk more about this in another post!)

Just have a watch at what’s in store!

Operation Immortality

I gotta say.. the game was kinda cool hehe.. Tabula Rasa is game where you the people of the world have to help find those who are ‘worthy’ to save what is left of humankind to be shipped of to spaced, where a new beginning shall start for the future generations to come. Our home, earth is gone and the war between Bane has gone on for years. We are close to extinction. But we shall continue to persevere on in the quest of Operation Immortality. Here we are going to help fine the DNA of those who are worthy to be um… remembered. For the deeds and the things that they have done in their life. What can one do for the sake of the future? Hence this project is important.. Operation Immortality: Leave your Mark. Save Humanity.

Yeah i know i did a post on this game before, but this got me all inspire and a tad too um….. lame for the lack of a better word. I still had some make up left on my face from the show earlier on, so I decided heck why let it go to waste. I might as well go ahead and show what I’m made off… In a very freakaish kinda way but no less there is a reason why I say my DNA should be saved. Watch my video to see why. But before that, did I mention that the game was cool? And why? Few reasons.. it’s down right fun, the graphics are satisfying and it’s free! I Can’t Live Without..

I was going through a NCSoft a while back. The game publishers who have brought me one of my favourite games called Guild Wars and I came across this game called Tabula Rasa. Basically it’s a new game by the game publishers and it is in a nutshell, the earth about to be overtaken and destroyed by some space invaders. So we have to do what we can to save what is left of the human race before we become extinct.

Tabula Rasa is a massively multiplayer online action game that takes you into the heat of battle at the frontlines of an epic war between an evil alien race bent on galactic conquest and the coalition of rebel soldiers who have traveled across the galaxy to stop them. – TVG

Whoooaa thats sounds cool though.. I wouldn’t mind giving it ago. You can find out more about “Operation Immortality: Leave your mark. Save Humanity” here. You can check out the video here. Thinking about it though, what would you bring if say this was the last time you were ever to be home on this planet. If this was it. There is no going back, no turning back the time. There’s no chance of saving the planet, just a small minimal chance that the world will end.. and we have to find another home. What is the one thing that you will bring with you if you were to leave this planet for another? Or who is the one person you would want to be with you… Such a depressing thought in a way. I would want to bring with me the one person I care and love so much in this world. Then again it really is a terrible thought..you are only allowed to bring one.. you can’t save anyone else.. My other half…. If I was being materialistic of course I’ll say my.. umm oh gosh.. handphone or notebook.. Oh heck if the world is ending probably my telco provider will also end with it. Hmm possibly my note book. Cause every single thing is on it, I can make phone calls with it if i wanted.. I can still keep my stuff all my documents… but wait… my hard disk has all my stuff… so now it’s a toss between my notebook and my hard disk.. Crap… I’ll still say note book….hehehe.. I’ll shove what I can either online or on to the notebook. Yeap so my dell baby it is. I would bring this sleek baby into the new planet with me. Besides all my games will be on it man! Guitar Heroes

I was watching a scene in Gossip Girl episode 8 where Serena was battling out with Dan’s exgirlfriend on the floor with this plastic looking guitar and her watching this over sized screen trying to follow coloured notes. The game they were playing was Guitar Heroes, which is such a cool game!!!! Yeah ok for those of us who don’t have WI but PS3 this game suffices This was the scene. It is pretty much similar to that of O2Jam and the Dance game you play with the Arrow pad. Anycase what I love about the game is the cool guitar that it comes with!! It was a nice good ol’ black at first but my ding dong of a brother just had to stick the rock and roll stickers all over it, which in my honest opinion has ruined it. It also cuts and distracts sometimes.

All the songs are from famous rock artists like Aerosmith, Metallica.. and most of which i never heard of. You can start of the game by going through practices and tutorials or quickplay which just allows you to play one song. The fun part comes when you are either playing it with two players or playing the career path. The career path will see how well u fair and then it’ll begin with you picking your character, starting your band and getting yourself to a platinum album of some sort. I also fund the tutors – some guy dressed up as Thor and another dressed up his rebellious son, teaching you how to play. My favourite line from the rebellious son “Don’t Suck” everytime i mess up hahaha. So yeah here is the latest toy in the house! I’m gonna rock so hard and make sure I do well!! Bwahahahahah

I’m going to be narcissistic, Minus the fact I’m looking terrible and the pink shirt with the cat is not working for me but I just love the way I look cute in here Ok thats the end of the narcissism.
