Nike Is Finally Here!!

If you notice this is sitting at the top of my page now. Ooo Happy Happy Joy Joy!

There are fans. Crazy fans, ridiculous fans, obsessive fans and enthusiastic fans. There are also fans that are under that umbrella, meaning all of the above. Now when it comes to me I’m the last one.. The one that is “all of the above”. When it comes to Nike!! And you cannot believe how ecstatic I was when I got this email from Nuffnang saying this.

I remember the time when I was just getting into picking sides between Nuffnang and other ad services. Nuffnang had my full attention for a good minute or so because I saw this beautiful symbol sitting on their front page.

Yeah the Nike Logo… that got me hook and since then I have been waiting for Nike to pick my blog to advertise on. Yeah sure this ad can be on tons of many other blogs but ooooh I’m just so happy that it is now resting at the top of my header. And it matches my theme too hehhee. I’ve been a loyal brand member of Nike since.. oh gosh… I can’t remember, but it was definitely after the Reebok and LA Gear phase. Nike suddenly just became so prominent for me, with their fancy products that I still believe in and most of all their philosophy of “JUST DO IT”. Did you know that the Nike logo was bought for about only 15 dollars then when it was first design by some young kid? That’s alllllll!!?? In school I was practically deemed Nike Girl by my classmates. The first time I heard I didn’t quite like it, cause i thought it was some sort of negative teasing (which it can be depending how you look at it). Then later on I decided, heck why not! I love the brand and their stuff at least most of it is fantastic and I look good on them… Heh. Allow me to be terribly narcissistic for a bit and you can dis me on it later . But I love Nike! I love love love. If I could I would work for them, and just enjoy being surrounded by Nike products and words… Sigh… Ooo.. Nike..

The website is gorgeous too.. which looks to be my next inspiration hehe. The link when you click on the ad, brings you to the Nike Women website. Which is as always flash based and it shows all the things in life dealing with physical activities that people have turned from a LOVE into their LIFE. It is also so empowering and encouraging to know that women are getting into different sports out there which are not really associated with women before. Take for example breakdancing which is still a very male dominated dance. Man all the stuff they showed on the website looks like so much of fun. Frisbee, Basketball, Kickboxing, Bellydancing, Biking, BMX and -something new for me – Punk Rope. (I’ll talk more on this later, but in short it is a new exercising trend that uses the skipping rope with High intensity music) Oooo and just check out the diary which is at the top part of the page. In order to maneuver in the flash website click and drage this bar which is in the middle section of the page. Anyways back to the diary or fitness log. Doesn’t it look so scrapbook like?

i just LOVE that. Which is what I think Life should be like in a perfect world. Doing what you love the most that makes you happy.

Spiritz of the Music

Well for my weekend other than really just chilling out, I’m going to KLPAC yet again for a Jazz Music event. It’ll be held at KL pentas 2. Calling all Jazz lovers and performers. Come over to the place. You can either choose to book the tickets or you can get them on the day itself. It’s free seating, so rush on to get the better seat in the house. So ok details in general: Venue: KLPAC pentas 2 (map can be found here) Date: 15 Dec 2007, Sat = 8.30pm (starts tomorrow people) 16 Dec 2007, Sun = 3pm Price: Only RM18 (so don’t worry won’t burn the pockets too much. )

This is what the performance will be like. SYNOPSIS: As the title suggests, the spirit of music is celebrated in this concert, which will feature 20 original compositions – 10 instrumental and 10 vocal pieces. Although mainly jazz-influenced, the songs will also be infused with elements of traditional music, especially evident in the instrumental solo pieces. There will also be four vocalists who will sing mainly in Chinese. Various genres of music will be covered in this concert, including slow jazz, swing, R&B, bebop and loads more, promising a refreshing change for those looking for something more than commercial Chinese pop music! The bands playing for the night are as so:-

I found something to blog about…. Weeehooo.. I was soooo entirely ecstatic when i found out that my blog was in the Adobe Newsletter. I was wondering why my blog suddenly had an influx of visitors and now i know why. It’s so narcissistic of me, I know… but it was sooo cool when I found my blog there. I mean whoaa!!! Yamaha Guitar

Yesterday me and Giden had gone to Kelana Jaya somewhere in the evening, to the mothership Yamaha. They were having a clearance sale and Giden was looking to get a guitar. He went through a number of guitars and I think a few of the sales people became victim to his fickle mind on whether to get the guitar or not lol. It also didn’t help that the guitars were running out fast. A number of people were quite set on getting a guitar. They had good guitars at really bargain prices. He finally settled for this one. See how blur his face is. He is so into his new guitar he didn’t even know I took this picture of him. Hhahahaa And here is what it looks like in full. Now it sits in my room. Not bad for a nearly RM1000 guitar.. we got it for about RM650 along with strings. It has a really nice sound when you play it to, very nice feel. But i really liked this particular guitar. Too bad it’s a bit out of the budget. Had a beautiful feel when I strummed what pathetic tunes i knew on the guitar. But it felt nice and Giden agreed, so I can’t be that musically incompetent. hahaha. Sale is over now… but I heard they ahve another one in March. For those music enthusiast, i’ll keep u guys posted here.

The End of The Show…

…for now anyways. Today was the final day of the Practical Aesthetics class. And I miss the people already sigh…. It was loads of fun… I repeat loads of fun acting with everyone in class. Working through the different exercises of the “as if” and “repetitions”. Two things that were essential in order for us to really just give each character a different touch for each scene. In a way you could say that this method is used to refine the edges of an actor for a role. This is just one method that I have been exposed too there are a lot more… Anyways…It was the last day and I’m hoping that there will be more opportunities to work with the group for, who knows, future productions and what not. Well cool part is that i’ll still be visiting KLPAC tomorrow along with Min Li and Grace for the Physical Movement workshop. So yay! The last day which meant presentation day to a small group of friends and the KLPAC crew, went rather well. It was just a bunch of scenes that we had tried out in class and did them for the final presentation, showing people what we have done and have achieved out of the class. In all honesty, today’s was the best for nearly all of us that had performed. I’m so proud of you guys! Everything went well and even better. Those who never had acting before at least got to give it ago, and those trying to get into it, learnt something more. I haven’t got the pictures yet but when I do I’ll put them ASAP! What I have are the pictures of the after math lol. Crazy group photos and crazy dinner. Lol more to come..For now… i’ll show the crazy group pic Nutsie picture hahaha where we all started jumping

Reminiscing F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Ah.. well… it has come to the last days of the “Practical Aesthetics” class that is held at KLPAC conducted by David Lim. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself in the classes held over there and really experience is one thing, I am taking away with me, but more so I’m really happy to have met all the people in the class. New friends and new shared interest. That said, I won’t continue further till the class is really finished. Anyways, purpose of the class was to either enhance or teach us another method of acting. Which required lots of THINKING! Wasn’t an easy class, I can actually say. At some points one can get really confused with the technique. Homework was also inevitable..lol… and we had to do scenes taken from either TV shows, films, or monologues. One of the scenes we ended up trying out was from friends and it was a real blast to do it.. haha… albeit a bit weird but really a lot of fun just practicing late at night with the gang and just trying out how to work round it. Here are the two scenes we were trying.. and it really made me miss the series Friends a lot. I mean well they really grow on you. Even now I can still remember trailers from the show before it first started and it looked so cool…comfy and lighthearted- as how a bunch of friends should be. I suppose they had naturally good chemistry going on. Which I have also come to realize, is such an important factor for both actors to have the right chem. It’s not essential at the first go but it does make the work a lot easier. Imagine yourself having to act like best friends with a person you don’t really know. Have fun with the scenes. This one is the very first episode of Friends in season 1. And this is the other one from the scene where Monica gets stung by a jellyfish. season 4 episode 1. You can really see how much not just the cast but also the writers have grown in their stories.

N82

The phone that I have been waiting for in the market for a long while now. That I went to even the extent of asking Nokia’s Vice President Tapio Hedman, his thoughts on it…. which in a way I am embarrassed.. lol… but I was curious. The N82, is a candy bar version of my N95 and after much tying to sell the phone and no buyers. I ended up using the phone and I absolutely think its a very handy phone to have. Dang it… thats a phone!!

Specs are:

Symbian S60 OS
5 megapixel cam, carl zeiss lense
Wi-Fi
GPS system
Supports N-Gage when it relaunches next month.

Sigh… what more can I ask for. Here’s T3s video on it. That said though. I hope the battery is gonna last longer and also I hope that the camera has better quality now. I have no complaints on the music quality. The down side of the phone by the looks of it though are the keypads.. my gosh they are small!! They look just about the size of the tip of my nail. It’s already bad enough with the n95 that i feel stunted when trying to send an sms. Also looking at it sideways.. it looks a tad thick….then again it can’t be any thicker than the N95. What I do love about this phone are the S60 applications. There are some really handy stuff and best of all NOT i repeat not as irritating as a PDA! I absolutely can’t stand the PDAs.. which reminds me, that’ll be another entry… PDA vs Symbian phone…

Photoshop World Asia Pacific 2007

Today was Photoshop World Asia Pacific 2007. Held at Mandarin Oriental, KL at an unforsaken 8.45am in the morning, of course that was just registration and you know what? For the first time ever in the history of me being Malaysian…the event started on the DOT! We were actually on time for once! Hahaha.. Anyway the day was more of presentation of what Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended could do for you. And I tell you… the way how Adobe has grown and grown over the years to becoming a fascinating tool… not to mention a tool that is so widely used it practically dominates the creative market. Having said that the event was presented by three speakers: Marion Young, Michael and Christine Serks, who all know their stuff with Photoshop…. don’t “pray pray” with em’. I won’t go through a long article on what are the latest cool things on Adobe Photoshop CS3 and the Extended version (what is this a movie?). But briefly I shall say that it has made being a graphic designer a lot easier. Even in terms for people who use it for web designing, video editing and would you believe it these people use photoshop too: doctors, sonographers, engineers and interior designers (which is what the Photoshop CS3 EXTENDED, is for) How so? Firstly one it has an option for creating 3d images out of static flat 2d images. Secondly, you know how for some scientists they have to count every single cell underneath a microscope and they could lose count? Under the ruler option, there’s a new feature called the count tool. Which helps you to number the amount of items you wish to count on your image. Also the ruler allows u to measure just about anything even accurate measurements for the human anatomy.

The best part about Photoshop fans, is that it can even allow you to create simple video animations. Like so. And it’s sooo cool.. you can WARP a video!!!! WARP!! and ADD normal blending effects to the video like any other layer on Photoshp. At the end of the day, Adobe was giving away 1 Photoshop cs3 and 2 Photoshop cs3 Extended. The crowd went nuts! Since it was a lucky draw, everytime someone’s name was called and no one answered, the crowd immediately screamed….”TAK DAAAA” or “NOT HEREEEE” or “GONE HOME”. Sad to say I didn’t get one Ah but having said that.. it still support Adobe… They ROCK!

Is this Duchess?

I have been trying for a while now, to figure out what breed is Duchess. I know she’s a mix but I just don’t know what mix. Whatever she is though she’s a gorgeous dog! So tell me do these look like her family? Is She an Australian Shepherd? Or a Border Collie? Or Both?

I love dogs, and I’m looking to adopt one. To be more precise, my better half is looking to adopt one. While searching around for some adoption puppy sites. I came across the Tan Shiba Inu, which are usually brownish beige in colour. So this is one rare baby pup here. One black one which looks terribly CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean just look at that FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could get the fella, but well if I can’t maybe someone else out there can. Here are the details: - RARE !
