I love Sakuras. Or also known as Cherry Blossoms that are famous flowers from Japan. If I could see a beautiful sight, I’d pick the autumn season in Japan when the Sakuras would fall down like snowflakes to the ground. It is one beautiful sight captured on pictures so how would it be if it was seen in real life… ooohhh bliss

In the midst of my busy busy schedule, I managed to see this wonderful sight. Our own Malaysian version of the falling Sakuras. Every year this tree will bloom beuatiful flowers and I think they are bougainvilleas although i could be wrong… i have no idea what flowers these are. :S But I love looking at them no less. It’s nice to just step back in all the hectic days and admire some beautiful scenes out there.

Look at the fallen flowers, gorgeous and breathtaking… not that I can say that for my photography skills but no less, I love the flowers

Nuffnang Pajama Party – Part 3

Here are the videos people! I totally forgot that once uploaded on youtube to post them here. A continuation from Nuffnang Pajama Party Part 1 and Nuffnang Pajama Party Part 2 The first video was when two blogger had a Nurse and French Maid on their back… ouuucch.. can someone please tell me their names? And the names of the Nurse and French Maid too. Liang is just so funnny… Tweeennnnnnttty Five…. Twwwwwwwwweeeennnnttyy Six… Talk about encouragement haah The next video was when the game of find the couple was played. Before entering the party, everyone got asked this question single or taken.. eh? Then you are assigned some sort of wrist band with a name from one of the famous couples in history. Like Adam and Eve, Romeo and Juliet, Hans Solo and Princess Leia… and so on. So the first round was where the a couple named had to quickly grab their partner and run on the stage. E.g. Hans Solo and Princess Leia… then a couple with those names on the wrist have to run to the stage. The second round was to gather as many of the couples or individuals that got the same band. So all the Hans Solo and all the Princess Leias’ combined. like so… it was utter chaos The last video I managed to take was the one of the boss getting their umm… underwear gifts and boss stewie how come your pants are lopsided ? They are such great sports.

Graffiti Along The Pasar Seni Wall

It’s not everyday that I take the LRT (Light Railway Train), but the other day when I was to meet up with some friends to discuss a script, I purposely took the opportunity to use it. One because I can save petrol and two because I really wanted to share what I saw the last time when I passed by the Pasar Seni Station. As you sit on the LRT, you have a good view of a number of things on ground and this particularly caught my attention. Underneath the LRT railway there is a river.. or some sort of a river, or maybe it’s just one HUGE drain. Anycase there is some walking space on the cemented banks and on the walls there is a long line of graffiti. Which to be quite frank looks rather interesting. I thought it kinda cool to also get into the whole graffiti vibe and put up my own graffiti or aronil.com heh. Can you spot it?

Don’t know if you guys noticed. But do you see these words on the floor? ABU? I originally thought that someone just sprawled their name on the floor, but I didn’t know it actually meant this!

Yeah I know it’s blur.. but if you look carefully it actually says ABU – Asal Bukan UMNO (As Long as it’s not UMNO)… ouch! Kinda harsh statement.

The 54k Billboard Proposal

Is it every girls dream to really want to have a beautiful wedding? Or in this sense an expensive wedding? ok maybe lets not go to the wedding yet, lets just talk about the proposal. This is an old piece of news, but finally i actually saw it with my own eyes, the crazy proposal made by this young man, David Tan to a girl named Kelly Tan E Li.

This is the old billboard behind the newly engaged couple. Read about it here. The billboard was placed along the LDP highway, but what is different about it, now is if you look closesly. Someone is possibly sponsoring the boy who did this proposal.

Love Diamond has now placed themselves there hahaha for promotion. Now not only is he the Ad exec known for a billboard proposal, by the looks of it, he’s also now this Love Diamond spokersperson… not bad Personally it is very sweet, but I don’t believe for a moment that he can afford to get 40k for that billboard proposal. Already the pain of 15k on the ring is enough damage to last a lifetime. Imagine this, a billboard which people pay thousands and close to millions for, to advertise their product, would not give up even a spot for others to put up other adverts, let alone a proposal! So i think the boy has got to be in kahoots with some big shot somewhere down town. Meaning he knows someone of the someone, or possibly his family owns that billboard. It is sweet, but a waste of many if he really did put a penny into it.

Earthquake!!

To make my week even more exciting, the other day, I was sitting at the balcony with my friend at the office and then while we were talkign suddenly I felt a tad bit dizzy or at least it seemed like i was swaying a bit. We both paused in the midst of conversation and then we looked at one another.Me : Did you feel that? She: Yeah I did… We looked at our colleague that was sitting nearby and he was starring at his cup that was on the table. He brought his face closer to the table, then he started shaking the table slightly with his hand. My friend and I looked at each other again. Us: Gavin! Yes we felt it too…. and we laughed. He looked up and said he was wondering why his coffee was having the ripple effect. Whoa sounds like Jurassic Park.. Everyone else felt it too and everyone was either staring at the ceiling to look at the lights or they were looking at their palms to see if they had gone mad. Next thing you know we were evacuating the building, even though the shaking of the entire building only lasted for a second.

For people that are suppose to be evacuating they look extremely calm.

What is this a picnic? It seems that Indonesia had a minor earthquake at that time. It is not the first time i felt this before. But then again, I don’t know why we were laughing at the taking it so lightly. As we were told to evacuate, I ran to grab my handbag, external harddisk and the laptop. Whoa man… I know why take anything at all right.. but you never know. At least now i know what are the important things I’ll grab if there really was a real evacuation.

But what would grab if you were in the same situation? What would be important for you and not so important that you would let go? Obviously one’s life is a must. While I had gone to grab my hard disk most importantly, my colleague had grabbed this.

Hahhh??? A book? If you said this was a cheque book i’d understand.. maybe. But you grab a design book before your life ends and crumbles at your feet… and as they say, he died for his art.. But man…you don’t think about it till it happens to you.

Dress Up at Pavillion

Just headed out to Pavillion for lunch, and I must say that i’m starting to like it more and more. I noticed that just to get the attention going they have a number of weird people walking around on the pavements of Pavillion.. Ok they aren’t weird, they are probably dancers dressed up in dolled up, masquerade-ish outfits that normal people would never wear. But they were pretty cool. Check them out. I personally like this guys costume. So regal and medieval hehe… my favourite period.

The thing in the white poufy skirt is not a girl.. it’s a guy… don’t ask why..

Plus there seems to be some life jazz band and orchestra performances going on there. It looked pretty good and the stage was absolutely gorgeous. They were performing at bout 1.30pm and have another one today at 7pm. This is from 26-29th of Dec. I only managed to hear a little bit of their performance but it sounded pretty good, plus they are all young musicians. Just take a look at that white tree… I saw someone going up that spiraling white elephant while passing it. Think it was sound check. Feels so magical… ***Sings*** walking in a winter wonder land..

Man United Vs Liverpool at TTDI

I forgot to blog about this that day. I was tired so I put it to one side. It was one the biggest showdowns for the end of the year. Manchester United vs Liverpool football match started at 9.25 pm our Malaysian time. Me and Giden had gone to TTDI to meet up with his friends to watch the match. I also asked Mike to join us in our football match meet up. Unfortunately for one of Giden’s friends.. who also happens to be his boss… everyone else was a Man. United fan and not a Liverpool. Hey! not my fault that Man United has more supporters. Anyway we me at Eckywoobee – the sports?cafe …… Now why of all names they named it that I have no idea.. and why the “?” in the middle of their name is also beyond my comprehension. and the menu?? Food price is normal. Service is NOT fantabulous. I had the Ecky Sandwich which I think they should rename it to ICKY sandwich. It had nothing much in i, the meat was some sort of slice up pathetic piece of bacon was barely even noticed by my tongue. Giden had the Jumbo Burger. It’s big, but while it looks nice…. It is far from the mouth salivating burger that it should be. The meat patty was just huge and crumbly… I mean literally crumbly! When you bite into, cut into .. whatever into it, it just broke into bits and pieces…. nice. And the fries… they took forever to get to our table. In all fairness I think it is still too new and not ready for the big crowd that normal mamaks can handle for football season. The company was pretty good hehhe.. All Man United fans.. lookie! The game was fairly alright, and Giden will always say that I don’t concentrate on the game. Partially true! But hey I’m thereto support the team man. How can you not support a team with such fantastic players and with a manager like Fergusan…although I do kinda think the football got more interesting when Mourinho was still around. The Liverpool players had marked good ol’ Ronaldo well till he was just quiet throughout most of the game. Liverpool may have been controlling the game all the way with Van der Sar having some butter finger problems here and there. In the end though guess who won… The clapping people means Manchester United won.. Soo ha ha ha ha ha! Which managed to make Man U top of the table….I hope it stays that way too. …. Crap just saw the score… Arsenal is back on top! Sigh… And now a song…

Glory Glory Man United.. Glory Glory Man United.. And the Saints go Marching on! Ah well…. But the location was very nice. It reminded me a lot of Clark Quay in Singapore… check out what it looks like inside the shoplots area. The cafe we were at, was just one of the many shops that was shown on the outside facing the street. This is the inside of TTDI. Quite nice eh… makes a good hang out spot.

The Lonely Flower

Have you guys ever felt sometimes you are the only person around in an area. Or like you are the only one that behaves like you, has your mentality and has interests that only a person like you would be bothered with. That everyone else around you fit to the social rules that have been set for them. And you hope to remove yourself away from those ideologies? Yeah I feel that way sometimes… alone. Just like this flower, in the distance. However, do we feel alone because we allow ourselves to be? It is our choice. That we remove ourselves from those that care for us, those that matter to us. Do remove ourselves from the other leaves because we are tired of searching for others like us? Maybe we think we can’t find others like us, because we aren’t looking in front of us. Maybe the ones we seek are closer than we think. Just that all the leaves are always in the way, that they filter our eyes from that which we desire. They are just hidden. What we need is just some light to be shed upon us. Only then perhaps, we shall realise that we aren’t as alone as we think ourselves to be. Rather there are a lot like us out there… Odd post…. but felt like it when I saw the single flower in the tree.. It was only then when I started looking harder that i found there were actually more flowers up in that tree.. huh..

My Review on I Am Legend

Today is a beautiful day.. or was… considering the time.. It was a Saturday! I finally got to sleep in and catch up on some very much needed rest. My voice had started to morph into the diva-ish voice of a frog and the week got better with more dust, presentations and a party on Friday. So yes I needed my rest! Hence the morning began with a lovely sleep in, followed by a movie with my honey bun. We got to watch “I am Legend” at the new Golden Screen Cinemas at Pavillion KL. The nice thing about the cinema is that the parking is convenient. Get into the cinema parking area, find your spot, get out and head on directly into the lift straight into the cinema. NICE! No maze maneuvering within the mall to find the cinema. Anyhoo… “I am Legend” was fun and I am glad I did a read up on it in the papers yesterday on how it was made. It made the movie a lot more interesting when you consider the other aspects about it, rather than just watching it for what it is.

The movie in itself was good and left me feeling nostalgic about other movies like Ultraviolet, Resident Evil and … hmm what other movies are there that have human-made virus that causes everyone to turn to either vampires/zombies. Like I said before the movie does have a bit of that feel. The only difference is that most of the movie, the sole survivor was alone. Francis Lawrence, the director of the film and the film Constantine, took a very big challenge to make the film. The film in certain scenes had used real locations such as the famous Times Square in New York. The article I read, stated that Lawrence had to actually clear the entire street to make the movie. Nuts! Imagine clearing up an entire area, hopefully without sound and all, to make a movie that looks like you have the last man in the entire country.

Being a virologist, Smith’s character, Dr Robert Neville dedicated the rest of his life to finding the cure for the Krippin Virus. At one point ‘Krippin’ was seen as the miracle cure to cancer. Instead took on a terrible turn causing humans to become part vampire and only to be able to live in the dark and on blood to sustain themselves. It makes sense then as to why the ‘Darkseekers’ – so they were called, mostly bald thin and gangly – the looks of the symptoms of cancer patients. Neville tries to regain back what humanity he has lost in his isolation with Sam, his German Shepard and also by setting up mannequins in various places that he frequently visits. Yes, he talks with the mannequins so that he does not feel entirely lonely. Given the length of the film, Lawrence did a great job of portraying the fear and loneliness that Smith can evoke on the screen for this character.

The whole of New York City has been evacuated and only Neville is left, to help look for any other non-infected humans who may need his help and shelter. Bit by bit, the viewers are given info through flashbacks as to how this predicament came about. Smith played his character well as he started to lose a bit of his sanity here and there due to his isolation from humans. He acted one scene very well when he started screaming at one of his ‘friend’ mannequins who had been to moved to another spot. The film also questions about humanity and faith. Always a topic I enjoy to ponder about Neville states in the movie ‘God didn’t do this. We did!’ For a while I thought it was a Christian point of view he was making, but only later on did I realise it was more from and agnostic thought. The question of faith was more towards the end. Which I found a tad bit too rushed and did not make such a lasting impact.

The movie was fun and was hard to portray which is why I commend the director and actor on two fantastic jobs. Not forgetting everyone else in the credits of course . However, it left me wanting more in the end. You know at the end of a good movie, you have this satisfactory ‘aaaahhhh’ or it just leaves you asking more questions about it. I found myself not doing that so much with this one, but a lot more pondering on the dog! I love dogs yes, but I love the movie too. I suppose it is because of how it is not a storyline that we have not heard of before or have not seen. Rather it is just like any other of the movies that are in the same genre as this – The possibilities of a disastrous and empty world.

Smith showed a beautiful comradeship with his one and only friend, Sam, his adorably loyal German Shephard. Samantha is played by Abbey, a 3 yeard old canine, which had made Smith a very patient man as he had to learn how to gain her trust. The dog is really adorable in the movie and I have a spoiler here. Highlight the words in white. Sam dies I was sooo upset when I found out. But not as upset when I found out how she had to die. She died in the arms of her owner. That had me bawling my eyes out!! Facebook Requests Madness

I love facebook… but really sometimes I think the requests thing is too much. I know it’s the whole inviting thing and sharing and caring and giving…. which remins me of Joey’s wedding speech for Chandler and Monica.. Haha….FriendsSeason 7 Ep “The One With The Truth About London”. “It’s all about sharing and caring and receiving…..” Yeah… so back on the whole Facebook thing…. This is how fast one gets requests in a DAY! Picture 1 shows where my requests were… originally I had way more but either there was a glitch or facebook removed all of them cause this morning it was beautifully short!

And then…. this happened 5 hours later. Please click.. but judging from how long it is…I think u get the idea..
