I’m being terribly nice in marketing this…
Actually no not true, I’m marketing and tell you guys about it because I think this show is worth watching!
Not too long ago, a few of my friends got involved with this show called Malaysiantalents.com which is a web series that shows this man starting a talent agency from scratch. It is starred by Douglas Lim (you may remember him from kopitiam) who is the upcoming talent manager (whether he does a good or bad job is subjective). His “star” pupils are Johann Lim, Nick Dorian, Farah Rani and Davina Goh. You might recognise these faces in the art scene
Every episode – which is about 4 minutes over – he will bring in star guests on to the show. He’s got people ranging from prim and proper Elaine Daly, to artistic veteran Gavin Yap, the very silly Tony Eusoff and so on so forth. I found the one of Vic from Malaysian Idol a bit ummm… ‘funny’ on the show, maybe cause it was the whole singing thing.
You can check out more of their series on gua.com.my under video.
It was a bit lame at the beginning but after a while, it got a funnier and then it came to a good laugh. I personally enjoyed it a lot more once it hit episode 5 onwards. When the ‘students’ came in hehhehe.
What is so funny, is that there is a site called Malaysiantalents.com which is supposedly another talent agency. There is no actual relation though between the show or the website. Not directly anyway, but people will try going into to view it anyhow and become a member…like cough.. yours truly.
