Bruno Mars Concert in KL

If you didn’t already know i’m a biggggg Bruno Mars fan! I think he’s an absolutely brilliantly talented artist that can rock the lights off any stage. So when he came down to KL i considered not to go at first (how could i even think that really! Silly girl!) – then on the day itself, 10th April 2011 – Mynn and i made a random random and impulsive decision to go for his concert! We were fortunate enough to get tickets, since everything was sold out! But there are ways hehe.

So we got the tickets and we made it to PWTC in time

And lookie lookie we met up with Nick Dorian, photographer at Candid Camera Studios! Haven’t seen this fella in ages!!

We meet up with Jeremy and his sis over there.

As usual any concert will take a while to start up. We were in the standing zone area or rather the Rock Zone. Every man and lady for themselves in getting to stand next to the stage!

The opening act was none other than our very own Mizz Nina!

 

We saw some of the band members from Doo-Wops and The Hooligans appear… there was constant screaming for no reason. Cause we all thought Bruno Mars was on stage.

Mynn and I just trying to tweet! Note that the reception at PWTC was poor, where we were standing anyway.

I absolutely love this shot. You couldn’t believe the number of cameras and handphones that were busy taking video of him. And it’s funny how they allowed digital hand held cameras. but no DSLR cameras were permitted. In fact one security guard actually took someones DSLR away! See semi-pro SLRS would be good to have!

It was an awesome night and fabulous performance. I can’t wait for him to come back to KL!

Of course i had to take a picture, showing proof that i was there! and of course it had to be a fedora hat! ^_^

The Wanted Interview

Monday morning would usually mean, i would like to sleep in but for the life of me, i had to wake up that morning and prep myself. why? Because of The Wanted! The boy band The Wanted came down and Red FM had the pleasure of interviewing them. All thanks to the lovely people at Universal. It was roughly 12pm, Jeremy, Arnold, Mynn and I had gotten ourselves to the One World Hotel. And waited like foreverrrrrr. No i’m kidding, we didn’t wait too long for the boys, in fact it was a good wait. Setting felt rather formal at first but the minute the boys entered, it was all fun and games. Check out the interview we did with them.. Oh.. and i just have to mention two things. 1. Jeremy had offered myself and Mynn as the sacrificial “virgins” to the boys lol. Which i found hilarious and also made a good opening joke to warm the group. 2. We were all saying our goodbyes and i got a peck on the cheek from each singer.. swoooooonnn. lol. Bragging rights??  yeah man. Mynn got her share too! Jeremy and Arnold.. both parties (RedFM boys and Wanted boys) decided to stay clear from that lolololol.

Bam Bam Kabam

I had a real bad day today. Well bad in the sense I had a series of unfortunate events dealing with getting knocked a lot. In the morning I had gone for an interview and while i was looking for parking. I had gotten myself to the level which had parking spaces that were the type where you can park and then have another on top.. anyways my car was nudged a little because i had backed into one of the metal poles. SO yes I have a slight dent… I didn’t know this would be the prelude to an even bigger dent that awaited me later that day. I was heading for a casting up in Kota Damansara, and while turning into a junction. I had one of my worse accidents to date. Car accidents that is. I had a real bad one that shook me up quite a bit. All i fully remember was how i saw the car coming right at me.. literally I could see the car moving head one towards me. Imagine yourself knocking into a person that’s like a nudge. This was like a power nudge…. Here is the outcome of the accident.

Thank God ok that I was alone in the car and there was no passenger with me.  I am also soooo thankful to The Lord above that Nick Dorian and Min Li were in the area. Right after the accident I gave them a call and they came to my rescue. Shit man… I was quite shaken up.. I’m just thankful I’m alive and that no one was hurt… ok fine the other dude had a minor scratch on his forehead but he’ll live. The only thing that will probably give the most heartache is the damage repairs… sigh it ‘s at point like these you almost wish everything had just ended there and then…. I’m being sadistic I know..

I’m also quite glad to say that the Proton Persona is quite sturdy and I didn’t kemek (dent) as much as i thought it would. But then again it was only a kancil that banged my car.

I will admit that his damages were a lot worse than mine because he was nose first into my passenger side. It’s the guy in white and then this dude out of nowhere (the guy in red) hands me his namecard… I was like huh? And he started blabbering that we is with a car towing and repair company so don’t hesitate we will settle everything for you… Right… and charges??? At leats 3 more other card tow and repair dudes suddenly appeared out of no where, asking how it happened and what not. I didn’t give much though to them and ignored them.

Crap man.. I felt like absolute crap and the fella is some china hongkkinese talking dude. Who insisted like 10 people said it was my fault.. dude…. where the heck did u get 10 people all of a sudden??? Then only did he shut up.

Headed straight to the Police Station with Wei Jun, Min Li and Nick. Thank You Lord for friends who stick with you all the way. Stupidly though I should’ve gone to the Sungai Buluh one and not the PJ state.. cause in the end i had to go to Sg Buloh since the accident was Kota Damansar at the border of PJ. Sigh….

At least I’m well…. I’m thinking positive here! So that’s good!!

Acmamall Is On

Lol… talk about a back to back advertorial. But I will write something on Acmamall because it is related quite close to me. I was pleasantly surprised to see, this particular ad showing up on blogs and on mine as well.

See me mommy, is the busy head of the Acmamall body here -Yes, technically she’s the Malaysian CEO for Acmamall – in this online mall. Yes it’s a mall for the SEA region. It’s about nearly 5 plus years already since Acmamall had been born. I can still remember when mom was still at the beginning stages of it…It was tough and a lot of people wondered why even bother going into an e-commerce if not people were willing to buy stuff online here. To some extent i can sort of agree, why get something online if you can get it directly straight off the shelf. But then again somethings bought online tend to be cheaper than those on the shelf..some that is not all. Acmamall which used to be Acmabooks, had started off with just selling books as it’s primary base of products. It was only recently that they started to venture into becoming a mall. Now they have stuff that ranges from  books, flowers, chocs… yada yada yada. And it’s still growing :) But I will say that they are always looking for more new products that have the possibility of being a selling point online. And I can definitely reassure you that all the items that are packaged and shipped off to any customer is the best condition possible. I say that because, i’ve seen how my neat-freak mother packs her stuff. My gosh it is so tightly wrapped it’s almost a chore to open it. But that just means it won’t get damaged in the mail when it’s flung to and fro :) Imagine with a company on a tight budget, it was pretty exciting to see our ad on TV. My gosh you won’t believe the PR lady for Acmamall had bargained… she is one tough cookie. I haven’t seen her but i bet she looks like this.
