When I heard that Manchester United would be down again in KL this year.. I wasted no time. I got onto my superbly smartphone and started asking my follow Manchester United mates, if the news of them down was true.. and where they going to be visiting. of course the best place to search was here ^_^ the Official Manchester United site.. For anyone who is a footie fan, you would know that Manchester United has made football history. They’ve been crowned Champions yet once again for the English Premier League or rather the Barclays Premier League. This is the 19th trophy and it’s a very significant one as they have beaten long time competitors Liverpool to their 19th title… Take it from me it’s a big deal! And because they won… They were going around Asia for the “CHAMP19NS TROPHY TOUR” – not to be mistaken with the Champions league mind you.I love how smart they are in using the number 19 to replace the alphabets IO in the word Champion! ^_^ I found out that Edwin Van Der Sar – yes our legendary Goalkeeper who had just retired from the game - was going to be at Starhill for the meet-and-greet sessions at closed sponsor events in the city for TM and Hublot. Missed out on the event? That’s ok i got a video for it ^_^ Here are more shots from the event. Really wish Van Der Sar would stay for another season, but all good things must come to an end. While there were a number of fans in the crowd, i was a bit surprised that the media that were sent for the day, didn’t watch or know much about football. Only one journalist out there asked relevant questions pertaining to what Manchester United would now do since Van Der Sar has decided to step down from his role as goalkeeper. There was one in particular that kept asking questions about the World Cup…. -_- ngehhhh?? Shouldn’t you be asking question relating with the club??? Anywaysssssss… Lets take a look again at the CHAMP19NS Trophy!

Hublot happens to be the official timekeeper for MU. Edwin Van Der Sar was down to also launch the brand new watch by Hublot called the new King Power Red Devil.The watch looks pretty cool i might add!

A huge Hublot clock tower welcomes visitors and supporters at the main entrance at Old Trafford Stadium. In tribute to this fantastic partnership, Hublot has developed three limited editions : Red Devil Bang I in black ceramic with only 500 pieces, Red Devil Bang II in red gold with only 100 pieces, and in 2011, the newly launched King Power Red Devil in Ceramic and King Gold. These three models are equipped with a 45-minute chronograph movement especially designed for counting down each half of a football game and incorporate the slightly rebellious Red Devils emblem on the dial. The King Power Red Devil is equipped for the first time with a chronograph movement distinguished by two centre chronograph hands. This makes for better readability – quicker and more efficient. The wearer can keep track of both hands at a glance; the first indicates the seconds, and the other hand, specially developed for football, indicates the time elapsed out of the 45 minutes in each half. With a sapphire dial, the movement – here in an Aero Bang version – has also undergone new skeleton working, leaving it more open to reveal even more of the working parts of the watch and its fine mechanics. The topside retains only the material necessary for it to function. This is coated with black ruthenium for a beautiful overall effect of homogeneity, and clearer reading. Predominantly red, the minute track, a time counter at 9 o’clock and a date window at 4 o’clock round off the piece, stamped with the famous, slightly rebellious Red Devils emblem at 3 o’clock. In a nod to Old Trafford’s more than one hundred year-old turf, the focus of all attention, the watch indexes come in a natural grass-green colour, obtained using real blades of grass from Old Trafford, picked and preserved especially by the club’s grounds men for the making of this limited series. It took Hublot 6 months of development to stabilise the plant material and its original colour, including against UV and temperature differences. The freeze-dried blades of grass were inserted into the indexes through an all-new process, and then coated with a special transparent lacquer to secure them permanently. The King Power case – 48 mm in diameter and here in micro-blasted black ceramic or in 18K King Gold – has been revamped. Its two push-buttons have been redesigned, and are now each protected by a little safety bar, which is completely built in either side of the crown. Moreover, in a final reference to the legendary club and bringing a last aesthetic touch to the piece, the black rubber strap has a red line in the center, directly inspired by Manchester United’s graphic charter. This limited edition is produced in 500 numbered pieces for the micro-blasted black ceramic version and in 250 pieces for the King Gold 18K version. Every watch is accompanied by a certificate guaranteeing its authenticity, signed personally by Sir Alex Ferguson.

My gosh the passed 14th February has been one really extreme day. I hadn’t realised how many things were happening on that day.. so i may be a bit late but i’m going to talk about it. Where shall i start.??? ok let’s start with something physical. 1.Wayne Rooney is BACK!! Manchester United had a fantastic win in the Derby match against Manchester City with a score of 2-1. but the biggest highlight had to be Wayne Rooney. The poor boy has been going through a real rough time. World Cup didn’t allow him to score anything, he had a huge scandal in the papers, coming back to BPL was nothing short of bleh… and everyone. And i mean everyone was really hoping he would pick himself up and create the kind of magic we know he’s capable of. Then finally finally on the 12th of February, against Manchester City no less (Who have never made it in to the top four before and – i must say played a very good match against the winners) – Wayne Rooney scored the most marvelous overhead kick, that left everyone absolutely stunned, amazed and awed at the awesomeness of that goal.. Even he himself considers it the goal of his career!

2. The Rock is back! WWE Live.. ok i never really followed it. but it did entertain me from time to. The period of me watching WWE Raw was during The Undertaker, the Rock, China and Triple H period. Undertaker was my favourite but the Rock was always soooo entertaining to watch. You just can’t get anymore dramatic than that man! LOL. After 7 years according to him, he’s finally back in Aneheim. And the drama is still there.. with.. every.. single.. pause..to..his..sentence. hahaha And how he “compared” himself to Justin Bieber (sorta). You can’t help but smile at this humongous hunk of a muscle. Good to have you back Rock!

3. The 53rd Grammy Awards One of the biggest music events happening also on February 14th!.. or rather 13th. it was 14th from my side of the world. And my favourite singer of this year is Bruno mars!! He got nominated 7 times but walked away with 1 grammy win. but hey that’s fantastic!! Considering that he just started his career.. like what last year? This boy can songwrite, sing (his voice is oohh so sexy and hot, u can melt butter!), he can dance, he plays the drums, keyboard, guitar, and he dances… I’m in utter love! But the biggest congratulations had to go to Lady Antebellum, who won 5 grammies! Whoa! Praise God indeed for all the wins! and you can say what you want the Bieber was robbed.. but seriously.. Esperanza Spalding is clearly the better artist.

Another series post. All about Manchester United down in KL

Friday was just the training session of the Manchester United players that came down for the Asian Tour. Heading there was a very very predictable jam waiting to happen. It was quite funny to see people in a number of cars heading to the stadium, all in their favourite jerseys. I spotted on Liverpool fan in the crowd lol.

We were all just under the blazing sun and it was super hawt! I was hoping to get a tan while at it :S

The place was not as packed to brim that day. I think only about 50 thousand people were permitted in with the training pass.

Frankly the training pass wasn’t much. I just had to laugh at the fact, that tens of thousands of people went to watch just to see some of their favourite players roll about on the grass haha. But hey all in good fun

Last night I went to a friends house to watch the Manchester United Match versus Aston Villa. Ever since Man United played against Liverpool at Old Trafford a couple of weeks ago, the team has been maybe having a very hard time. With a terrible and painful lost to Liverpool at 1-4, the team lost the following match as well to Fulham.

Oh the pain of hearing all sorts of slanders from the other teams.Then last night came. With heavy hearts, we watched the match and hoped for worse. Originally after the first goal by Christiano Ronaldo, our spirits started to soar.. but once Aston scored back and not just once but twice. We all started saying, ok let’s make it 1-3, meaning we were expecting Aston to score another goal. Then came the 80 minute and Ronaldo made it 2-2. Ohhhhh that got our hearts pumping and causing all sorts of weird palpitations to our blood stream.

We figured that at least it would be a draw. That was until a little onion head kid wearing the jersey 41 appeared.

We all started wondering why Fergie would put this new kid in this game, which was so crucial, with our defence completely shattered and the main strikers not in the game… What was Fergie thinking???? But ok ok calm calm.. you should always trust Fergie’s call.

It was down to the stoppage time and it was 5 minutes.. Oh thank God it was five minutes. Both teams were fighting for the last goal. This was it. It’s a draw or win. What would you push for? Ryan Giggs assisted the ball and all of a sudden this onion haired kid came out of nowhere and he SCORED A GOAL!!!!!! it was a 3-2… OMGOSHHHHHHH Yesss!!!!!!!!

And I will never make fun of his hair or his name again.

His name is Federico ‘Kiko’ Macheda. And don’t knock him, like we did. We were all just talking of how for all we know he could be a Santiago Munez like from the movie “Goal”. Never did we think, he would actually BE a Santiago Munez and score during the stoppage time, during his debut and during a crucial turn around for the team. Like OH MY GOSH!!!! How To Win Project Trafford

Or rather how to go about winning the Mister Potato Contest.

Come now, I’m sure some of you have already figured that this is a Mister Potato ‘awareness’ campaign for their latest competition which involves winning tickets to Old Trafford via buying lots and lots of chips. Hah! Crazy thought right.. Put it this way, the tickets to Man United to fly and to watch a match is about RM5000. But obviously we don’t have the finance to go ahead and buy tickets like those. So the next best thing is to win it, via begging… OK not down right begging, but bargaining, rather hehe. See the contest requires you to collect as many seals as possible from either Mister Potato canisters or Mister Potato chip pouches. They come in different colour packaging as shown below. Each seal/pack from these packagings is worth a point or more. The canister is worth 3 points, the 85g pouch is 2 points and the 55g pouch is 1 point.

You are suppose to separate them – the seals and packs – into multiples of ten per bundle. Then place them all in an envelope with a clear photocopy of your IC and contact details. You can send it as many envelopes as you want as long as the photocopy of your IC and your details are clear. Finally send the envelopes BEFORE every 30th to this address: Mister Potato Football Contest, Kilang Makanan Mamee Sdn Bhd, Lot793, Jalan SS 13/1K, Off Jalan Persiaran Subang Indah, Taman Industri Subang, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan and repeat the buying, eating, saving the seals, stapling, enveloping and sending the envelopes every month till the end of the contest, which is the 30TH of October! In short the process is like so. ^_^

Now how to get that many seals and packs? We thought of doing it this way, to get them. This is how we went about it. It was only Nicolekiss, Simon Seow and I from the group that could meet up, since Kif, Chic and Andy are not in KL. But that doesn’t mean we couldn’t execute our plan in other places all over the world.. or rather just KL and Australia… hehe…Ooooo we did have an extra help from lil’ Kel Li. So executing Free Hugs and Kiss for Mister Potato Chips. This Chica is really serious! Chic from Bootylicious proving that when she wants something she’ll get it hehe

Andy from Delta’s Den was working hard in Penang to get the seals hehe for free.. We just want the seals man. We’ll give you your hug and kiss.. just give us the seal.. you can even have the potatoes.

We even had a body down in Australia.. Sydney to be precise. So Coool!! Kif from 3POINT8 doing his part to get hugs from down under. But shucks la.. wish we were there to accompany the fella.

Btw this is just one of the SEALS you need in order to win the grand prize of going to Old Trafford.
