Mama’s Song

I’m so incredibly touched by Mama’s song by Carrie Underwood. I thoroughly enjoy songs like these and maybe i’m bias but this is the kind of “country” style music i’m used to. Where it’s from the heart and close to home… and doesn’t relate to a another particular singer who sings about her break ups. OK i admit that TS songs have gorgeous tunes.. i give her that but her lyrics just don’t resonate with me. That’s just me.. the only that did was “Love Story”. Back to Carrie Underwood. I really love love love this girl. And i love the songs she sings. All the songs she’s written are so wholesome and refreshing.. to me.. ok! Mama’s song..I don’t know how to explain it honestly. Maybe it is the bond between mother and daughter, maybe it has to do that i’m at that time of the month, whatever it is, this strong struck a chord with me… i’m such a sentimentalist at heart. i admit it. This is truly the perfect song for a bride to be..hmm not too sure it can be a song for mother’s day but i suppose it can apply too. All the same i dedicate this song to all mother’s out there.

It’s Only Life

My dear friend Nick Dorian has been having a bit of a spell lately and things have been just under the weather for him. I’m dedicating this post to him who has such a big heart for the arts and who has persevered for so many years. He’s having a tough time as one can read here. While I know it’s tough…I know it is man…. no one could understand more than us how tough it is…. but I also know that you have things going on for you. Don’t give up to what you hold dear… and also to what you know you want to do with your life. Times are tough but the best is to just get tougher – you will be a happier person in that way. As much as it will sound cheesy when we say be optimistic and learn from your weaknesses…. it’s also true that if you know how to work around them, you will somehow enjoy life a lot more than expected. :) My prayers are to you man and you know that you always have us.. aight! Song dedication time! (Ok i know this is a girly song… but try and see it in terms of what you want to remove thyself form..Then it’ll make sense.)
