Just wanted to quickly share this before i forget.
I was going through some sites I had set up and decided to upgrade my wordpress 2.9 for them. Two of them came out ok. However one had a real prob which gave me a heart attack for a while.
Did any of you experience the CURLPROTO_FILE error too? Well apparently wordpress 2.9 has a couple of bugs. Causing RSS links to be broken when you view them on the Dashboard and just like the image above, it appeared too on my plugins admin page.
So for those of you who are facing the same wordpress 2.9 bug head on to semiologic, who has prepared a patch for the latest wordpress. All you need to do is overwrite 3 files in your wp-includes. And your done!
I tried it out for mine and now the admin panels are working fine with no more broken links.
